Introduction:
We are dealing with top objections to Christianity. We do these lessons to equip you in answering peoples objections to the Faith that saves. In that process we will be more confident to live out our lives in the open and invite others to an ultimate relationship with their Creator.
These are the questions:
1. "I don't believe that God exists. How can anybody be sure?"
(Tony Padgett)
2. "But what about evolution? Couldn't God have created us but used evolution to do it?"
3. "How do I know the Bible is really true?"
(Barry Johnson)
4. "What about all the errors in the Bible?"
(Barry Johnson)
5. "What makes Jesus so different from other great men of history?"
(Roy Mason)
6. "Aren't there many roads to heaven? Don't all paths ultimately lead to the same place?"
(Tony Padgett)
7. "Is hell for real? If so, how can a loving God send people there?"
(Barry Johnson)
8. "I don't think I'm a sinner. I'm not so bad."
(Keith Palmore) - Next Week
9. "Christians are all hypocrites. Why would I want to become one of them?"
(Roy Mason)
10. "Why is there evil in the world? What about suffering?"
(Keith Palmore) - Done June 2nd Sun a.m.
11. What about the atrocities Christians have committed?
12. Christianity is a crutch.
13. What about those who've never heard about Jesus?
14. Are you telling me my parents are going to Hell?
Analogy:
Wait And See
Some time ago, a man brought forward his strong argument against the Bible, declaring, “I am seventy years of age, and have never seen such a place as hell, after all that has been said about it.” His little grandson, of about seven years of age, who was all the while listening, asked him, “Granddaddy, have you ever been dead yet?”

Luke 12:5 ESV
5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!

When we talk about Hell, be advised that death is included in the subject.
Death mentioned 141xs in 127 verses
Hell is an important topic because we all die...
Hebrews 9:27 ESV
27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,
Mankind's complaint about the Christian world view goes like this...
"Is hell for real? If so, how can a loving God send people there?"
Like most things in the world there is a short answer and a more in depth long answer.
The short answer is - Yes, Hell is real and a loving God who has created Free Will Beings does not violate those beings Will. It would violate our Will and violate His own character of love. Love’s very definition requires choice.
So if someone says to you, I don’t believe in God, Christianity or Jesus because of Hell and if God were so loving how could He send people there just because they don’t believe in Jesus. Then you should.
Understand this:...
You do not wind up in Hell just because you don’t believe in Jesus. You wind up in Hell because you sinned. Hell is the choice of Free Will Individuals.
Romans 6:23 ESV
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A loving God has provided a way to overcome our destiny with death and ...
Jesus is the answer to changing your eternal destiny in death, from Hell to Heaven.
[according to Jesus…]

Hell was originally created for the devil and his angels

Matthew 25:41 ESV41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Matthew 25:41 ESV
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Hell is a consequence of rejecting God

Matthew 13:40–42 ESV40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, 42 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 13:40–42 ESV

See also Dt 32:22 Fire is often referred to in the OT as a symbol of divine judgment; Mk 9:42–48; Jn 3:36; Ro 2:8; 1 Th 5:9; Heb 10:26–29; 2 Pe 3:7; Re 20:15; Re 21:8
Verse like this one the world cannot escape without being critical. As if we could have done a better job in creating the universe.
but consider this...
Follow the Thought
Do you think that people who commit a moral crime be punished?
Have you ever committed a moral crime?
Would you like a pardon?
Those who go to Hell do not believe in morality and do not seek a pardon.
Always remember that Jesus is the answer to our dilemma, He is not the problem, We are...

Jesus possesses authority over hell

Mt 16:18; Re 1:18 The Greek word “Hades” often simply means “death”. However, at points it implies the experience of punishment after death.See also Jn 5:27; Ac 10:42; Ac 17:31
Matthew 16:18 ESV
18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Revelation 1:18 ESV
18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
John 5:27 ESV
27 And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man.
Acts 10:42 ESV
42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
Acts 17:31 ESV
31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”
Actions have consequences
You have committed sin, can’t you see your dilemma?
Come to Jesus who is the answer to our dilemma and our problems...
