Do you believe this?
In your life?
No matter what has happened HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN FAITHFUL!
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Morning by morning I wake up to find
The power and comfort of God's hand in mine
Season by season I watch Him, amazed
In awe of the mystery of His perfect ways
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He's always been faithful to me.
I can't remember a trial or a pain
He did not recycle to bring me gain
I can't remember one single regret
In serving God only, and trusting His hand
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He's always been faithful to me.
This is my anthem, this is my song
The theme of the stories I've heard for so long
God has been faithful, He will be again
His loving compassion, it knows no end
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He's always been faithful, He's always been faithful
He's always been faithful to me.
God Keeps His Promises
God made promises to Lot (Moab and Ammon were Lot’s two children) and to Esau about lands and boundaries, that he did not defile.
He did not break his promises to one group of people in order to fulfill promises to another group.
AS a matter of fact his willingness to keep his promises to one person or group should bolster our confidence that He will do what He said in our lives as well.
God desires our utter dependence
God didn’t want them to depend on plunder from their relatives, but to rely on him
God lets us see others win to bolster our faith
When Esau and the descendants of Lot conquered their lands, God gave them victory of the “giants” just as he promised to do for Israel.
Sometimes we can make the mistake of thinking that some of our heroes in the faith must have a cake walk of a time, but every spiritual GIANT is so because God has given them victory of GIANTS.
There is NO SUCH thing as a victorious Christian Life that will not involve carrying a cross.
God puts detours in our path to strengthen our faith
(Include map at this point)Traveling this way and crossing the Jordan rather than entering the land through Kadesh Barnea would give them maximum exposure to God’s blessing on their distant relatives.
Perhaps the most direct route into God’s will robs us of important lessons of the hard routes of life.
