Vs. 14 HEARKEN
14 แล้วเมื่อพระองค์ได้ทรงเรียกประชาชนทั้งหลายเข้ามาก็ตรัสกับเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายจงฟังเราและเข้าใจเถิด

When Jesus speaks, we should listen! But, When Jesus says to listen to Him, we better take special care to what follows!
If you want to avoid the empty traditions of mankind that we looked at last week, listen to what the Word Who was made Flesh says to us through the Bible!
If you want to live a life without regrets, listen to Jesus!
If you want to have victory over sin, listen to Jesus!
If you want to have restoration, listen to Jesus
If you want to have cleansing from sin, LISTEN to JESUS!
In the end, what the Word of God says and how we have obeyed it, is what matters.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
I want something, but I have to lie to get it...
I want others to like me, so I drink, smoke, do drugs with them so they’ll accept me, rather than being accepted by Christ.
I want others to respect me, so I do whatever it takes to make myself look good - Pride.
I don’t want others to tell me what to do and I won’t listen to anyone who doesn’t support my desires - Foolishness!
I have sexual desires, but I try to fulfill them with someone who is not my spouse - The Bible calls that fornication, adultery, การรักร่วมเพศ/homosexuality, or maybe you just look at pornography?
Most of the sin people commit is taking a normal desire and trying to fulfill outside of the way God said we should.
BUT, Let me say, that I am not talking about FORCED action…such as Rape. But that is not the same as being told you have to lie.

Vs. 18-19
As we walk through life, we encounter tempting things...
Immodestly dressed people and advertising that tempt us to think wrong morally and to feed our flesh.
Covetousness is promoted all around us.
Maybe our coworkers are not always honest and no one seems to care!
Maybe lying is accepted in certain areas of life and situations?
But these things don’t mean you have to do wrong. Think about two people that grow up in the same house and experience many of the same things. One becomes a murderer, and the other is a preacher!
Why is it some people live in the same neighborhood as us growing up, or even now; They walk down the same streets;
They see the same things;
They have the same opportunities to do right;
They have the same opportunities to do wrong;
Why do some people who can be so similar, DO so differently?
I can’t help but see tempting things...
I can’t help but hear tempting things...
I can’t help but be surrounded by sin, sinners, and sinful things.
BUT, that doesn’t mean I have sinned! Praise the Lord!

Vs. 20-23 - I don’t mean that it does not affect others or that it does not concern others, I mean that you don’t sin because of outside pressure.
Our thoughts determine our actions.
If I could see your thoughts, I could tell your future!
Will you stay faithful to the Lord? Are you thinking as the Bible says you should?
Will you be successful at fulfilling your work responsibilities? Are you thinking about those responsibilities as the Bible says you should?
Will you be successful at raising your children?
Will you be successful at being a good spouse?
Will you be successful in Life?

God’s Word controlling our thinking is key to Success in any and every area of life!!!

If you want victory over the temptations that are mentioned in , you need to find out what God says we should be thinking in these areas!
Then, Ask yourself if you are being a help to your brothers and sisters in Christ in how you conduct yourself. We must be careful that in our effort to recognize our weaknesses, that we do not ignore those around us that we are partly responsible to help them grow...
