Introduction

Avoid Bad Financial Agreements

This issue here is one of cosigning. You have to understand when you do this that cannot simply look at the good nature of the act, but you must evaluate it from a financial standpoint. If it is not something you can believe in, do not do it just because someone needs helps.
I believe we can take the application here and broaden it
Do not get into a business partnership without thinking it through
Do not borrow from an institution or person without thinking it through
Do not make personal loans without thinking it through
Do not make an investment without thinking it through
Others?
This will all go back to stewardship, if it all belongs to God when need to use it and spend it wisely

The Best Way to be financially secure is to work hard

The example of the ant
Works hard out of instinct.
Works hard out of necessity
You cannot expect to do nothing and gain something
A healthy, hardy work ethic is a Biblical value
There is a flaw in our government system that seeks to provide for those that have no intention of providing for themselves
2 Thessalonians 3:10–13 CSB
10 In fact, when we were with you, this is what we commanded you: “If anyone isn’t willing to work, he should not eat.” 11 For we hear that there are some among you who are idle. They are not busy but busybodies. 12 Now we command and exhort such people by the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and provide for themselves. 13 But as for you, brothers and sisters, do not grow weary in doing good.
Many times as part of the discipleship process I have had to shoot straight with a man and let him know that he cannot follow God fully unless he provides for his family.

Stay away from shady deals

Do not steal
Do not defraud/cheat
Be wary of easy money
Do not gamble

Stewardship is a heart issues before it is a head issue

Pride will cost you
Lying will hurt you
Money made by violence is no good
Money made through schemes will not last
If it hurts someone else, it is not worth it.
Application: The only way capitalism works is through surrender to Jesus Christ
