This Same Jesus

Exodus 3:11–15 KJV 1900
And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Exodus
Intro:
Acts 1:5 KJV 1900
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Acts 1:8–11 KJV 1900
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Intro:
If you were here last week I did my best to offer you the Way the Truth and the Life
I offered you Jesus
I referred to the scripture
John 14:5–6 KJV 1900
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:
I made a statement last week and i feel to echo that same statement this week.
If we don’t know and understand who God is, how can we be saved by this God?
I tried my very best to explain biblically that there is only one God
I used scriptures like
Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV 1900
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
D
James 2:19 KJV 1900
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Isaiah 45:5 KJV 1900
I am the Lord, and there is none else, There is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
Isaiah 45:
I went even further and tried to explain that there is one God and His name is Jesus!
I used more scripture
John 1:1 KJV 1900
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 KJV 1900
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:10 KJV 1900
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:
So for the next few minutes I feel to continue in this same vein of talking about Jesus.
I do not believe there is anything greater we could preach then Jesus.
When we begin to unleash the revelation of one God with the power of the name Jesus, all of hell begins to fear
Even Satan knows there is One God and trembles
John 20:24–29 KJV 1900
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:24-
Thomas made such a powerful statement on this day
When he encounters Jesus for who he truly is the revelation hits him square in the face.
Thomas uses two words that were not commonly used together
My Lord and My God
The revelation of One God with the understanding that His name is Jesus
Oh what a powerful statement
But that is not even the best part
This is why we preach
Jesus says to him Thomas because you seen me you have believed but there is coming a group of believers that did not get to walk with me
They did not get to touch my nail scared hands
They did not get to be on the sea with me
They did not get to pray in the garden with me
But Thomas they will get the revelation of who I am just like you
We may not of been with Jesus on the shores of the Galilee
but we have the same opportunity to receive the revelation of who he is
We know today that there is one God and His name is Jesus
So lets talk about this Jesus
What does this bible say about Jesus
John 6:35 KJV 1900

Closing
John 18:4-8
John 18:4–8 KJV 1900
Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
