Grow Your Purpose

We all have or will ponder at some point the question, “what is my purpose in life”.

It is a perplexing question that causes us to look deep within our lives and reason with ourselves to find the meaning of life.

Why am i here? What is life about? What is God’s purpose for me? etc...

What is life about? What is God’s purpose for me?

Having purpose changes the way we live our lives. It causes us to focus on whats important and to strive for a certain goal line.

What is God’s purpose for me?

Many people misunderstand their calling. They feel as though they are called to a pulpit or microphone in order to minister the gospel but that’s not always true.

We all have a purpose in this life. We may not ever step behind the podium or sing before the multitudes but we All do have purpose.

For starters we all have been given the instructions to Praise the Lord.

Psalm 150 NKJV

1 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Matthew 25:1–13 NKJV

Eli’s Sons

1 Samuel 2:12–17 NKJV

12 Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord. 13 And the priests’ custom with the people was that when any man offered a sacrifice, the priest’s servant would come with a three-pronged fleshhook in his hand while the meat was boiling. 14 Then he would thrust it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; and the priest would take for himself all that the fleshhook brought up. So they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there. 15 Also, before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man who sacrificed, “Give meat for roasting to the priest, for he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw.” 16 And if the man said to him, “They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,” he would then answer him, “No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.” 17 Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
