Introduction
What a morning it has been to celebrate and to dedicate the grade 12s for their accomplishment in finishing high school (very soon).
We have much to give thanks.
There are 5 THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR
Automatic dishwashers—they make it possible to get out of the kitchen before the family comes in for their after-dinner snacks.
Husbands who do small repair jobs around the house.
They usually make them big enough to call in professionals.

Children who put away their things and clean up after themselves.
They’re such a joy that you hate to see them go home to their own parents.

Gardening—it’s a relief to deal with dirt outside the house for a change.

5. Smoke alarms—they let you know when the turkey’s done.

Although I am at least 4 months early for Thanksgiving, the Bible calls us to be thankful in all circumstances.
Exposition
Let me ask you some questions to think about throughout the message:
Are you grateful to God?
If so, then what are you grateful for this morning?
If you are not thankful, then what are the reasons for such ungratefulness?
Do you feel grateful?
Or are you simply grateful just because you know it’s the right thing to do or your parents/pastors/Sunday school teachers told you so.
What should motivate or inspire you to be grateful?
For us to worship the LORD with thanksgiving, our mind, will, and emotions have to be moved by the LORD through His Word.
This is the only Psalm where the title is called “A Psalm for giving thanks.”
Of course, it does not mean this is the only Psalm that talks about thanksgiving because there are other Psalms that express gratitude.
However, is quite a unique Psalm.
Do not underestimate the shortness of this psalm because there are spiritual richness in understanding the root and the cause for why we as Christians must worship the LORD with thanksgiving.
I believe the answers to all those questions can be found in .
In order for us to worship, our mind, will, and emotions have to be moved.
