Good morning church. alright Galatians 4 record a car with a title for a sermon every week. Normally it's the at the end sometime during the week Leah says send you a text as which of the title be unwise I call the title means to an end and it might seem like a difficult to connect that I have a slide that tries to dress if it was hard for me to come with a central title for this chapter because of its nature. So I think we're going to cover the top probably surprised. I may be talking fast enough. There's a lot of information here, but this book is where talk a little bit ahead of time. It's it's a very impassioned plea I would I would probably one of the books that is the most caring there's a lot in here, but it's all from the perspective of really loves these people and wants them to do exactly that the thing that we glorify God the best the best meat being the best for them, but it's it's difficult sometimes to connect those. So with that said, let's Dive Right into Galatians 4. I'm going to read the whole chapter is somewhat lengthy. But we're going to talk about all this we may as well read it now. All right. If you don't have a Bible that's up on the screen, but if you do Galatians 4. I mean that the air as long as he is a child is no different from a slave. He is the owner of everything but he is under Guardian to managers until the date set by his father in the same way. We also when we were children were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world go in the fullness of time and come God sent forth his son born of woman born under the law to redeem those who were under the law so that we receive adoption as Sons And because you are Sons God has sent the spirit of his son into our hearts crying Abba Father. So you are no longer a slave but a son and if a son then an air through God when you did not know God you were enslaved to those that by Nature are not Gods, but now that you have come to know God rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless Elementary principles of the world who slays you want to be once more You observe days and months and seasons and years. I am afraid. I may have labored over you in vain.

Brothers I entreat you become as I am for I also have become as you are you did me no wrong, you know, it was because of a bodily ailment that I preach the gospel to you at first and know my condition was a trial to you you do not scorn a despised. You don't receive me as an angel of God as Christ Jesus what Ben has become of your blessedness or I testified to you that if possible you would have gouge out your eyes and give them to me how that have. I become your enemy by telling you the truth. They make much of you but for no good purpose. They want to shut you out that you may make much of them. It is always good to be made much of for a good purpose. And not only when I am present with you my little children for who I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you. I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone for I am perplexed about you. Tell me you desire to be under the law do not listen to the law for it is written that Abraham had two sons one by a slave woman and want to buy a free woman, but the son of the slave is born according to the Flesh of the son of the free woman was born through promise. Now this may be interpreted. Allegorically these two women are two covenants wind is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery. She is Hagar Jerusalem, or she is in slavery with her children, but the Jerusalem above is free and she is our mother has written Rejoice O Barren one who does not bear Break Forth and cry aloud you are not in labor for the children of the decibel level be more than those of the one who has a husband. Now you Brothers like Isaac are children of promise, but just as at that time, he was born according to the first persecuted him who was born according to the spirit the also it is now, but what does the scripture say pass out the slave woman and her son for the son of a slave woman shall not inherit with the song of the free woman. So Brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman pretty please.

Emily Fowler to another a tough scripture sometimes lots of lots of symbology here and lots of instruction and Lord. I pray that you will open our hearts and alumina scripture to us today Lord. I pray that my words be only exactly what is in your word and nothing more than that Lord and I pray that you'll hundred percent Heidi behind your word. That's why we're here is to learn your words not mine and certainly not to glorify anything else on this earth except for you Lord and your sacrifice and that cross. Thanks for this time together and please have a blessed time to study time. I pray amen. So at the beginning of this is sort of like I mean that the air and ties on from the end of chapter 3 chapter 3 and 4 blur together and summer guards and this letter is especially difficult to keep track from one to another Paul launches into the beginning of this chapter. He's talking about sons and heirs other places in the Bible. You'll see the reference to sons and daughters. So that's a commonplace thing men and women are differentiated what he's referring to send him. He's doing that specifically in this time for the people that he was addressing sonship was required for inheritance. Go to be a daughter nothing with regards to inheritance being a son was very important to impose talking about this stuff here. This is a big deal. He's transcending this notion of what we talk about here. So he is making clear. It ain't me. He's made clear rather equation three the God Saves Us by grace alone. There was not without works. We talked about that last week. So in this chapter, he specifically talking about saving especially here at the beginning. We all have to think about this into pieces. So that's at least two piece of going to talk about today. There's a lot more to it. But these two if he's if you simmer down one's justification And the other is adoption. Now he doesn't mention justification here. But he's talking about it a great deal and I want to talk about it because I think it's helpful to understand what adoption mean so justification is basically being made right before the father.

Our transgressions are no longer held against us or our sins are not not our sins are dead has been removed. It's been paid for and our Stains have been washed away. So I send the bend take it away. They've been paid for and any remnant of that is removed from us in the eyes of God. We are Justified before the father. Everybody wants this. This is a big one, right? So this is a huge deal and I say it's a huge deal because since we've had the word and they're got people studying the word a lot of Scholars hold this Doctrine this notion of justification of the be the most important without it. We really have no standing before. It all we can't get close. We can't be halfway there. We talked about counterfeiting like you're nearly Justified but not quite you have to be justified. If we misunderstand our justification we misunderstand God by that. I mean if we think we've earned our justification or if we think it came by some other or means by what other than what the word describes to it and we misunderstood God likewise if we fully comprehend or justification, we fully comprehend God. Maybe some for eyebrows there, right? That's a tall order. That's why we're here this side of Glory. I don't think will ever fully comprehend our justification for things like, I don't know somehow right? It's a miracle. It's it's just Divine it's good. So, you know, it must be for the glory of God, but we see this call study that work out your salvation with fear and trembling like trying to understand trying to understand justification helps us understand God. Adoption I say this is all about love now drama thinking about love, right? Like didn't he? Let us have to justify us and that's true. But in adoption Christ glory is our Glory though. Our sins have been removed. We are Justified before the father, but now we're being elevated Beyond justification. Now we are heirs right? We are made Heirs of God's riches. That's incredible. Now. We're not Gods. We're not going to become part of the godhead. That's not what that means. But we share as heirs with Christ and that is beyond being a Justified right and we're giving garments of righteous as it says in the Bible see countless times where we're going to be closed in righteousness were to be we're going to appear as Christ as a son to the father.

This is a huge deal also.

I think j j i Packer. We did a study on knowing god. He talked so bad about adoption in here. I'm going to read it read a passage from this but he sends us up very nicely. So Packer asserts that adoption is the highest privilege listen to this. Adoption is the highest privilege of the Gospel offers Haier, even the justification this may cause raising of eyebrows or justification is the gift of God on which since Luther evangelicos of laid the greatest stress and we are accustomed to say almost without thinking that free justification is God Supreme blessing to us sinners 900s careful thought will show that the truth of the statement. We have just made the justification by which we mean God's forgiveness of the past together with his acceptance of the future is the primary and fundamental blessing of the gospel and is not in question justification is the primary blessed because it needs our primary spiritual need we all Stand By Nature under God's judgement his law condemns us guilt nose at us making us Restless miserable and in our Lucid moments afraid. We have no peace in our cells because we have no peace with our maker. So we need the Forgiveness of our sins and Assurance of a restored relationship with God more than we need anything else in the world. And this the gospel offers us before it offers us anything else, but this is not to say that justification is the highest blessing of the Gospel adoption is higher because of the Richer relationship with God that it involves.

If we didn't deserve justification, and we don't then we certainly don't deserve adoption. Play Imagine a similar scenario playing out in our world and I've walked through a billion of these. That is I'm so I'm going to want to talk about a scenario where you've got a a a judge at the Supreme level of Junction between the Supreme Court's one person the judge and that judge gives another judge a lower-court the ability to judge people. And you stand in front of that judge. Justification is that judge saying in the eyes of the court you are without crying you are free. You are free to go your without blemish. That would be miraculous. Now when we find out the mechanism for that behavior, which is the judge himself takes the punishment though. The law is fulfilled. That is even more incredible for the lower judge says I'll pay for those crimes you can go free. Adoption is now you become an air with that judge. Not only are you take it out of your criminal Behavior. Not only your crimes removed from you, but you are not promoted into right standing as just as the judge beside you but judge pays for your crimes and then adopt you as a son now, we think about forgiving people in our life into my car. it would be extremely hot and said they would just be

It's all right, you ask for forgiveness forgiveness is Grand you go a piece like to make you a son and heir of my fortune. He would say what are you doing? That's crazy. You don't even know that person tell but I do I know them intensely the difference in an examples. I don't know that person God knows every single person that he is Justified and he knew he would do it from forever ago when we talked about adoption specifically and we compare that to justification why Paul's talking to them about it. This is a big deal. You're not just cleanse of your sins. And then we call it a day. Adopted you made you a joint heir to his kingdom all of the riches all of the glory that is Christ is shared with us. That should Flora de fleurs when I get cold chills thinking about that why cuz I don't deserve it. I know I don't deserve I'll never deserve it I could do to earn it. And when you read this and you fools are idiots are you're telling me right? You're just you guys are driving me up a wall. It's because they don't get it. They don't appreciate what's been done for them. Yes, you've been forgiven, but when you understand what lies ahead of you you should be ignoring all that old stuff. It was designed to show you how bad you were Ambi charging forward and what Christ has called us next. So what do we do now? Lena Paul says it's a different language. But if we're just fine adopted heirs act like it right we should be acting like it. We should be like unable to talk about this if somebody came if you got a phone call this afternoon. Somebody said hey, there was a person in the I don't know North wherever I stand it just passed away. They had you listed as the only person it was at their estate and you are now going to inherit 25 billion dollars. Would you be like, okay, well, that's great. Wow, that's so awesome. Anyway, I probably won't share that with anybody. I'll probably just let it be because you know, whatever. It's nice to know. It's there if I have it like it's, you know insurance if something goes wrong, but it's not going to pack my life one bit, but anybody react that way I wouldn't I be like this changes everything now. I'm not going to go off the rails and do terrible things with it. Right but I could do a lot of good with that and I want to share that with people that I love and care for that. I know could also benefit from this this inheritance, right? We look at our Salvation we look at our adoption. That's the kind of thing. We're supposed to be think. I stand is an heir to a fortune that dwarfs everything on Earth every single thing you'll ever have on Earth we stand is as in here that we should be sharing that like crazy but not because we are so good. Not because oh lucky me. Must have really saw something special me. I've heard this before not said by people, but said to people. Muscle saw something really special in you. I know what the cinnamon is there right beside of it is because I think you're special. God does too. Well, that's true. Right but when we see how God perceives a most people yes, he does have a special place in my heart. He's going to adopt as the Sun but it isn't because of something very special to me. It's because of something very special and God something very special and God said Chris heacock gets to go to heaven. Now what am I want to do about it? Well everybody I'm going to go to heaven lucky me know I should be in such a preciation over that that I spend my entire life praising and worshiping extolling glorifying God sharing him God. What should I do? It's here in the word study it again Circle back brake commission great can get to it or commissions. There's more it's all over the place all over the place in at all points to Christ. The polka was over some more practical steps towards towards the end of this chapter. How many kind of verbal those down and basically three chunks? We're going to walk with God. All right, we're going to walk in God's grace. What does that mean? We talked about walking in this world. We say things like I got to be moving I got to be doing things but I found a place of God's grace and I found a good thing and maybe I'm going to slow up a little bit and camp out here. That's a super bad idea. I can unequivocally say that's not God's plan God's plan is not for everybody to come to know him comprehend this notion of Salvation and then gather up in the sleep together with people who know Jesus and spend time talking about how lucky we are because God loves us so much. That's a fine thing to do, but that's not our primary goal. That's not enough. You got to be moving but you don't walk in our power and we don't walk with us a resolution to do something of her own accord. We walk in God's grace the fact that were able to be saved at all because of God, we're not slaves to the world or even to religion my post talking about that very specifically here, right? They've been pulled out of this notion of slavery and they're running back into slavery. Let's go back to the old. Because that was comfortable to us whether it was good or bad irrelevant. We do well to check our walk and ensure we are not let astray I say let us Trey and I might sound like oh, right. Well, there's the old. Wasn't the devil made me do it or whatever else what? Yes, you can be led astray. You can also just walk away. You can totally just stay while I'm done with this and I'm going to head over here. I know God's there but I'm going over here. I think I can do it myself if you think I don't know I want I don't want to be led astray. I don't even want to wander astray. We have things like prayer right prayer helps us focus on God now in our church, we pray a lot. We call people to pray a lot. Have a good prayer life. Right we talked about this the second bullet about religion. If you go back and look even in today's world in the Jewish culture, they have a lot of symbols are like the yamaka and they where they were very very soon vestments that are designed to represent their reverence before God teaches me that remember to pray now whether I pray because I'm appreciative of God. I'm clinging to his grace that's irrelevant. The wall called me to pray. So we talk about these Notions of walking because Walking with God gets us into heaven or Walking with God urns. What's a better place in heaven we walk with God because if we don't we will not be able to do what God has called us to do. It's pretty simple if I walk away. I'll be doing some stuff. But it doesn't it does it's not necessarily what God would have me do and that brings us to our next Point lean on God. The first bullet here is you tend to notice of something you're leaning on is not there. If I lean on this Podium and it disappears, I will fall down most likely. I mean, there's a good chance I'll fall down but the point is when we walk with God and you lean on God while you're walking with. It's pretty hard to divert away from God. God is not going anywhere. But if we are waiting on him we met I do. Have you ever tried to walk with somebody. We did a spring that sometimes a lot with kids that is Fades away with you when you're an adult but there's just no show about everybody grab a hand. That's not really leaning on necessarily but in a way, that's right. I can't walk away from somebody if I'm holding on to them. I can't do it. If I let go there's a chance we could get split apart by other people coming between us by us looking at two different things to different times, right? I like this this there's a story I probably shared it with everybody in here at some point or another but there's a story of this old couple in there and I are going to pick up truck and she's sitting in her seat and he's sitting in his and and they pull up by the stop light and there's a couple in a pickup truck in front of him. That's a bit younger than they are and the girl sitting right next to the guy. That's driving. And the wife lanes over her husband and says remember when we used to ride like that in the truck. And he turns around says I haven't moved.

That's nice pics of me because I'm that lady all the time about God. I let go of God. I stand up on my own two feet. I think I'll walk with God. I see any just over there. I'm so glad I don't need to lean on while just be over here and then pretty soon. Where did you go? That's like I'm in the same place. I've always been you wandered off and then you wonder what happened if you want her off. You can't say. Oh God, you you switch it up on me. I Told You So when I say lean on God here, I mean lean on God don't let go of his hand. Don't get away from him for a second. If you feel like I'm being pulled over here. I'm not sure. I don't know if this is GIF. Whatever else God's word makes a great Implement for leaning. Ever hear of her use a crutch crutches are pretty good for leaning right there right there. You keep them close to depend on its never I guess technically would never let you go. Unless there's a faulty Krutch God's word as a crutch is indestructible. It will always be there but only if you use it has anybody ever dealt with somebody perhaps you perhaps somebody you care for that said the doctor said I have to use this. What does he know right? I'm finding this food. I can still play soccer. You know that kind of nonsense and I go out back in the hospital again. My mother's one of those don't put any in 5 pounds. What about 5 lb. Well, I don't know this case don't ignore it. Right don't play with the gods were also got a few tips and tricks if you want to lean on God you can you can go right at his word. Sons of Wolf of the things they're going to answer questions about you know, where is God in this where's got in this political thing this debate at work my relationship with this person or that questions with my kids are questions about my parents are Bush's about my church and understanding my salvation God's word. In studying and contemplating his word. We support ourselves on his word. I'm not talking about a big stack of Bibles that you lie. I mean you could do that, but that's not what I mean by Lany on God's word. I'm talking about studying that and having that prop up our mind and our soul it starts to take over everybody here that's ever read the Bible on as experience. Christ knows it there is power in this book. It is powerful. You can lean I will support your weight that supports weight of Eternity without issue depend on that. The last one here is work or God now notice not work for salvation. I have two broken record. But this is very important. The word that I'm talking about. Here is the work the Paul's calling the Galatians 2 and it's not earning God's favor. That's not the work you were called to do here. We don't we work for God because he has called us to do so, right. This isn't in it talk about slavery. It's an interesting term that use because it's not the notion that God has a is putting us under a yoke and forcing us to work on his behalf, right? That would be God's call to work that you like he says his yoke is light. How can that be? Like, why would be it's because you don't think about that. If it if it's not registered as much as work as it is to blessing thankfulness the response to that right the of Watching God work through our humble or our humble efforts is worth its weight in gold example, I thought about for this one is going to a kids performing as anyone ever gone till like a a play or a concert performed by like beginning. Something like a book 6th grade Orchestra into one of those has anybody ever been to one of those two didn't have a child there. It's awful. It's just terrible that that that the quality of music is not very good. They're struggling to keep beets are confused. I get sad. Sometimes they cry during the show. It's not engineered to be in and of itself something without any context awesome. But if you look into the crowd of the parents of kids out, there there on the edge of their seats are inviting people to got to come here. This kid play Tears coming down their face because it's more than that, right? There's something beyond that kid is a running this reaction from the parents that their parents are happy to donate their proud of their kids were trying they're probably kids giving it a shot. They you know with practice comes ability with ability. Come still was still comes orchestras write a picture on Facebook without this is a bunch of kids holding violin sound like

It's a full concert Orchestra, right? Somebody has to learn to play the violin when your 14 your principal they started when they were 5 scratching around driving everybody nuts except for their pants.

When we think about what we're doing for God, it's that perspective God is he's adopted as sons and daughters and we're out here scratching our best on a violin and people that don't know God alike. That's not do any good. You don't understand that's low-quality. You got to do better. I'm not proud of that. How can you stay.... If we're doing what we're doing for God, but we're working for God. Is very pleased very We were for God because we love him so much and we were forgot because we experience Joe like none other so kids. My car is dying on the here, who knows we get these little kids that come off the thing and we like that was terrible. I can't believe how bad that was. It destroys them. Right then I give it up and I never come back. I'm not. But I tried my best. My best wasn't good enough. I guess that was really good. Cuz I remember where you started now everyone else has heard, you know Itzhak Perlman play, you know, it's a Perlman but I remember when you pick that thing up and you couldn't make a sound on Google Play whole song right think about that perspective is God is teaching us and we're learning for his word and we're picking up this instrument time and time again, we're getting better the world might look at us and say that church is Lil. You're having no Impact. Says. Oh no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no grade is going to be the Principal in an orchestra not saying the gods All 4 orchestras or any of that stuff, right? But when we work for God and we encourage one another we teach others and we go through this rigmarole and we suffer some things that are Maybe Almost intolerable the beginning or this guy is not a very good preacher to Waters all the where's the guy? That was a great preacher, right? God knows what's happening, right? We're planting seeds if we are working for God. We're right where we need to be. And we get to experience that Joy has anybody ever done some work that seemed like it was going to be just a terrible slog. I know the end of your like that turned out to be great. I was blessed by then this happen to me countless times. I still feel like that occasionally though going into something. I should know better by now. I should know better that if this is something that is for God and is worth call me to do it and I have the capability to do it that I should do this knowing that God is going to bless me as his were promises, but they're still at snagging thing like, oh gosh, and I'll be going to be strong and be struggle. Albert, I'll do it like that evened out. Why did I bother why did I think that

What do we do for each of these we're going to study we're going to pray and we're going to do. I will assert of reach one of the if you leave any one of these things out you are in pretty big trouble regarding walking. Cleaning and working now. They all look the kind of line up nicely and that worked out great. We study the word we pray the word and we do the word. Are you going to say well I'm a plumber. Where is that in the word? You know, I can't read the Bible and know how to sweat pipe together, right? That's true not going to find instructions for that in there. I'm not saying don't do it. However, I will say if it's not biblical. It's not gospel if you're preaching Plumbing as a Salvation. If you want to sweat pipe to go to heaven when we got an issue. Do people do that anybody my rustler be bad? But you know what we're doing here today, right? We open up the Bible. We read it together. We talked about it together. We think about it. We consider how it applies to the US how to find the people here, but moreover how it applies to God. What does it teach me about God and how can I put myself in a position to understand what God would have me to then we pray the word. Count on Wednesday night. We actually are playing the word. We open up the Psalms and we pray in our prayer we read a verse and we pray about that verse and then maybe some of the things Our Lives we are praying to work in this case when we talked about praying the word. What I'm getting at is make sure your prayer life aligns with what the Bible describes in prayer life. I know tons of people myself included a Biblical and we claim things like well if my people who are called by my name just played for a Tesla and I didn't get one. So where were you on that one. I got said don't pray for that. That's a stupid right? I didn't ask you to pray for things. So if it if you ask you if you if you ask you it will be received. Well, I wanted to win the lottery and he hasn't done well for that right? That's your that's your your your gateway to it to a happier life. You got it wrong. I don't even know what to pray then but back of the word we go bullet one. I guess I need to study again. If I study the word I learn the word I start to pray the word. I said to pray for things. We were told me to pray for my prayer life changes when I start doing the word. Now once again, he's not in there I T not described well in the Bible how many Revelation maybe we could get into that but generally speaking what I do and there's no, there's no commentary hear about how to fix this issue. But that's part and parcel to what I do. What we do is here lots of calls as hell you may have a you may be a tentmaker, but you're also a preacher. not the details of my job, but what's around my job what exude through be at my job, but I don't know how I guess I'll go back to Bull at one time to study again and I need to pray for strength and pray for understanding pray for God to give me an opportunity for God to 2 to bring people into my life that I'm well equipped to talk to and have open ears an open heart so I can talk to them and I'm going to speak to them while I'm doing my job by my job maybe to fix computers, but it's also fundamentally to share the good news of Jesus Christ and have to do that in a constructive. Why does my job but I'm not getting in hot water if I'm fired from my job. I certainly can't win this there. So I got to play this game, but I'm I'm nervous about that and I'm not sure what to say to ask me a question. I mean really don't know the answer back to the top. That last bullet if it's not biblical it's not gospel is because we go through these three things. It's very common inadvertently. study the word take away something from the word that we think is very important of the word start praying about that deal convicted because I gave God some silly ultimatum my God if you don't want me to mandate circumcision Joe Buck goat goat lips circumcision it is and then we do the word by saying what I read and interpret and what God didn't intervene on is how we're going to behave that sounds a little nutty today perhaps right, but that's exactly what Paul. Y'all aren't understanding. We have studied the word. Now, you're misinterpreting the word your missed praying the word and your miss doing the word. You're taking your ear. You're taking it to do a place. I never intended it to be that God is not for me is against this Behavior knock that off. You've taken something is not biblical. You've made it gospel. If you aren't circumcised you are not saved on Extreme is very far. If you're not a plumber, you're not saved people stopped. But if I started wiggling around and say here is over Water of Life or what are five what carries water pipes and pipes are put in my plumbers Amen to that way, but I think he's right but the idea of it, right? There's a little thing in the Bible. I studied I prayed about it, you know God telling me this out of the other and now I'm going to build something around and Paul saying hey Galatians knock it off. Impala same to us today. If you believe in the Prosperity Gospel about Health and Welfare well-being are earning your salvation through Works. Knock it off. That is not the gospel. You're not going to find in the Bible. We are going too far.

A means to an end. I told you I was going to try to connect this. The end the end is glorification. Now, you're not going to see that he regulations for but we say the end of this is the end of it all but says God has appeared that he has a very created the heavens and the Earth. He is glorified us as he promised. We now stand as heirs in our heritance is complete basking in the glory of God worshipping him for all eternity. That's the end. The end was not saying I took Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I believe he was the son of God lived and died a perfect life. Amen. That is not the end. That's the beginning maybe or certainly score in the middle. All that from that four-door talking about today. These people are saved. These people were saved people that he's talking to why didn't you just ignore him? Why would I just let her at all their saved their like, that's fine because everything that we do is the means to that end provided by God and not by us. Pause, you guys back to are the first principles of the Gospel. You guys got to get back in and understand this again. I thought you knew what you didn't it's killing me cuz I I think you do know it but your mind is getting polluted by other people telling you stuff people coming in and out, right if you want to go back to being slaves you forgetting what the end is here. You think it's done? You think I'm going to earn your way back in there. You think this is it you think being a good Jew is the end you're wrong the end of Heaven eternally, that's all working for not this nonsense and have her to have all new poddies circumcision.

I detest him. Anyways, we don't get it either, you know, we don't talk a lot about heaven other than you knows a few songs to talk about it, but the notion of getting there.

Important I'm not saying we don't care about him.

We want to keep it keep it squared away. I'll do my work. I'll go to heaven and I'll be done with that. Right what we see here is none of them know it's not going to be that you've got to be in the word. You got to see what's going on when you when somebody comes up here and they give their life to Christ. You don't pat him on the back and say good luck out there. You giving you a surprise save not realize who got is now is the time when I actually get down to brass tacks post talking to people who were converted making mistakes. He said we going to get this back on track you're taking things that you're off your old life your combined with your new I'm telling you they're taking away from your new life. It's polluting your new life. Every step on our way to glory is futile if we take it alone. If you are not going to move with God in it and what you're up to. I'm telling you it's a waste of time. If someone was talking to me about that, I'm happy to discuss it. I pawn it on his I have it in here. I took it out and put it back in and took it out. It when I said walk with God and lean on God and work for God. I am serious about that. We do not see evidence in the Bible of successful Ministry apart from God. It will not happen. If you're doing something like I don't know God's in a but I think he's going to show up later. Don't bother. All candies cause heartache and pain you're going to be frustrated but why it's not working and you can be like guy never showed up. Like I didn't want you there to begin with or you or you would have known it would have started to happen right now. That's kind of a tough thing. You're very good at 1 argue about and that's okay, right because I don't know what things got her in it and I don't have that about ability. Right but in the world I can tell you this much if we go back and study and pray and do what the Bible says over and over and over again. We don't have that problem. We don't have to guess any more. We know God's going to be the middle of things that God said he's going to be in the middle of right if we're going to sign up for a Ministry for an astronaut to reach the people to park and we're going to do it on her own accord and we don't really need me for that Grill together. Second of those hot dogs. We are that mindset will destroy its we're not going out there to feed these people hot dogs are going out there to share the gospel means to an end. There's salvation is in a means to an end and glorification when they decide they're going to give their life to Christ. I can't be the end of it. Now. What do I do come with us? You know, we're going to do we're going to study again. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. There's work to be done. We're going to get busy to something for you to do. Now that hot dogs. You can sue two weeks ago. Now you're grilling them for the next batch. Why because God is good. That's why I'm doing it that we can talk about that too. I'm sure but the reality is what we do we do it with God for God and because of God if we're doing it on her own if we're taking steps on our own. No, good. All right, call Action. So if you happen to be learning about Jesus for the first time in the tenth time, you want to talk more about the saving grace of God or something at A Spoken Here you found to be challenging to your faith or something fundamental. Please come up playlist. I'm here. Mike's here sees their Bruce here. I mean those guys all over the place anybody find somebody for not to come up here. You can wave me back. I'll come back and play with you. Don't leave here with questions about who Jesus is and what he's done. We want to talk to you about that. If you giving your life to Christ and looking for a church home, we can get involved in Kingdom work with the family of God. Please come up and play with us. If you're not sure about that Kingdom work of the family of God anyway, but the reason I put this up here in the reason we talk about that is because we're pretty serious about what we do here. We don't consider ourselves a Gathering Place for bunch of Believers to sit inside walls and celebrate how good God is very quietly to ourselves. We really want to share with the world around us the whole truth of the word of God. I finally if you're a member of Calvary Heights, please pray that we is a body remove these things that aren't of God. We want to focus on Jesus Christ and his commands for our lives, but they're still burning us downstairs believes. Our behavior is much like these Galatians that are impeding people's ability to come to know who Jesus Christ is I pray that we have those removed and I implore you to pray with us as well.

Without a like to pray. We will have our talk top action.

Early father's wonderful Gathering your house. Wonderful the study of word Lord. The very challenging words very difficult words for me personally many regards to Lord. I think I'd like to do what I like to do. And I know a lot of times a lot of times it's not going to be the kind of things that that your reward has commanded me to do in Lodi. I want to repent of those behaviors right now Lord. I want to spend my time studying your word praying your word praying bring your word into my life and then doing the things that you were has called with my life Lord and not because it turns me a special place or that gets me into heaven Lord. This Treasures in Heaven will be discussed there. But but those those Treasures are are are are irrelevant compared to your glory in your guard sword and we work because you are good and you are glorious and Sovereign an all-powerful and all-knowing an old loving and that floors me Lord. I'm undone if I consider that. Turn this time Lord. I am thankful that we are gathering. I'm thankful forward to stay. I'm thankful for all the people here Lord. We know there's not a person here that is here by accident that you're surprised that Lord. Everybody is here and you know why they're here and as if I preach today Lord, I pray that the that my humble efforts of words will will will will be a conduit for people to take your word is supreme word of an all-knowing God right into people's hearts word pitiful be different with the consideration of what was said here in Galatians 4. It's something they can't shake as they leave this place. So they find it unsettling her difficult to understand Lord. I pray that you will cultivate that and all of us and draws closer to you because of it. Thanks again for this time lord. Thanks for all of the folks that are here today Lord and thank you so much and most of all for your son what he did on that cross its innocence and I pray amen.
