Means to an End

Good morning church. alright Galatians 4 record a car with a title for a sermon every week. Normally it's the at the end sometime during the week Leah says send you a text as which of the title be unwise I call the title means to an end and it might seem like a difficult to connect that I have a slide that tries to dress if it was hard for me to come with a central title for this chapter because of its nature. So I think we're going to cover the top probably surprised. I may be talking fast enough. There's a lot of information here, but this book is where talk a little bit ahead of time. It's it's a very impassioned plea I would I would probably one of the books that is the most caring there's a lot in here, but it's all from the perspective of really loves these people and wants them to do exactly that the thing that we glorify God the best the best meat being the best for them, but it's it's difficult sometimes to connect those. So with that said, let's Dive Right into Galatians 4. I'm going to read the whole chapter is somewhat lengthy. But we're going to talk about all this we may as well read it now. All right. I mean if we think we've earned our justification or if we think it came by some other or means by what other than what the word describes to it and we misunderstood God likewise if we fully comprehend or justification, we fully comprehend God. Maybe some for eyebrows there, right? That's a tall order. That's why we're here this side of Glory. I don't think will ever fully comprehend our justification for things like, I don't know somehow right? It's a miracle. It's it's just Divine it's good. So, you know, it must be for the glory of God, but we see this call study that work out your salvation with fear and trembling like trying to understand trying to understand justification helps us understand God. Adoption I say this is all about love now drama thinking about love, right? Like didn't he? Let us have to justify us and that's true. But in adoption Christ glory is our Glory though. Our sins have been removed. We are Justified before the father, but now we're being elevated Beyond justification. Now we are heirs right? We are made Heirs of God's riches. That's incredible. Now. We're not Gods. We're not going to become part of the godhead. That's not what that means. But we share as heirs with Christ and that is beyond being a Justified right and we're giving garments of righteous as it says in the Bible see countless times where we're going to be closed in righteousness were to be we're going to appear as Christ as a son to the father.

This is a huge deal also.

I think j j i Packer. We did a study on knowing god. He talked so bad about adoption in here. I'm going to read it read a passage from this but he sends us up very nicely. So Packer asserts that adoption is the highest privilege listen to this. We have things like prayer right prayer helps us focus on God now in our church, we pray a lot. We call people to pray a lot. Have a good prayer life. Right we talked about this the second bullet about religion. If you go back and look even in today's world in the Jewish culture, they have a lot of symbols are like the yamaka and they where they were very very soon vestments that are designed to represent their reverence before God teaches me that remember to pray now whether I pray because I'm appreciative of God. I'm clinging to his grace that's irrelevant. The wall called me to pray. So we talk about these Notions of walking because Walking with God gets us into heaven or Walking with God urns. What's a better place in heaven we walk with God because if we don't we will not be able to do what God has called us to do. It's pretty simple if I walk away. I'll be doing some stuff. But it doesn't it does it's not necessarily what God would have me do and that brings us to our next Point lean on God. And he turns around says I haven't moved.

We don't we work for God because he has called us to do so, right. This isn't in it talk about slavery. That would be God's call to work that you like he says his yoke is light. How can that be? Like, why would be it's because you don't think about that. What do we do for each of these we're going to study we're going to pray and we're going to do. We consider how it applies to the US how to find the people here, but moreover how it applies to God. What does it teach me about God and how can I put myself in a position to understand what God would have me to then we pray the word. Count on Wednesday night. We actually are playing the word. We open up the Psalms and we pray in our prayer we read a verse and we pray about that verse and then maybe some of the things Our Lives we are praying to work in this case when we talked about praying the word. What I'm getting at is make sure your prayer life aligns with what the Bible describes in prayer life. I know tons of people myself included a Biblical and we claim things like well if my people who are called by my name just played for a Tesla and I didn't get one. So where were you on that one. I got said don't pray for that. That's a stupid right? I didn't ask you to pray for things. So if it if you ask you if you if you ask you it will be received. Well, I wanted to win the lottery and he hasn't done well for that right? That's your that's your your your gateway to it to a happier life. You got it wrong. I don't even know what to pray then but back of the word we go bullet one. I guess I need to study again. If I study the word I learn the word I start to pray the word. I said to pray for things. We were told me to pray for my prayer life changes when I start doing the word. He is glorified us as he promised. We now stand as heirs in our heritance is complete basking in the glory of God worshipping him for all eternity. That's the end. The end was not saying I took Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I believe he was the son of God lived and died a perfect life. Amen. That is not the end. Pause, you guys back to are the first principles of the Gospel. You guys got to get back in and understand this again. I thought you knew what you didn't it's killing me cuz I I think you do know it but your mind is getting polluted by other people telling you stuff people coming in and out, right if you want to go back to being slaves you forgetting what the end is here. You think it's done? You think I'm going to earn your way back in there. You think this is it you think being a good Jew is the end you're wrong the end of Heaven eternally, that's all working for not this nonsense and have her to have all new poddies circumcision.
