8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Open your Bibles to am not much of a runner. This body wasn’t built for speed. The most I have ever ran at one time was three miles. I have improved on my time for running a mile. Recently, I ran a mile in 7 minutes and 50 seconds, which I thought was pretty good. I know some of you love to run and I think a few of you have even run marathons. I don’t know much about running, but I do know that when you are running competitively, you want to get rid of anything that could possibly weight you down or hold you back. The Greeks and Romans were serious about getting rid of anything that would inhibit their running. They would run naked.
