Genesis 3:15

15  I will put enmity between you and the woman,

and between your offspring and her offspring;

he shall bruise your head,

and you shall bruise his heel.”

John 6:37

37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

John 17:4

4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.

John 17:18

18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

Romans 5:12–21

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned— 13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. 14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. 16 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. 17 For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

18 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. 19 For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. 20 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:21–22

21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

1 Corinthians 15:47–49

47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

Galatians 3:16

16 Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, “And to your offspring,” who is Christ.

Hebrews 7:22

22 This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.

Hebrews 10:10

10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for

Ephesians 2:8 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

Jonathon Edwards says “ those who have recieved salvation are to attribute it to sovereign grace alone, and to give all the praise to Him, who makes them to differ from others.
Spurgeon was considered the great baptist preacher, holding 5-6000 in attendance and selling sermons that would break records in the late 1800s that still stand to this day.
There is no soul living who hold more firmly to the doctrines of grace than i do, and if any man asks me whether i am ashamed to be called a calvinist, i answer that i wish to be called a christian, but if you ask me if i hold the doctrinal views which were held by john calvin, i reply that i do in the main hold them and rejoice to avow it.
These doctrines and this theology was preached by the great reformers, the ones that brought us to where we are today. It was until later that another preacher labeled this Calvinist because of his protest against it with his five points.
The doctrines of Grace dates back to John Calvin and what we call Calvinist. Now whether you agree with Calvinist or not is beside the point. I myself believe in most if not all points of Calvinist, I don,t call myself Calvinist. I call myself Christian. I do love John Calvin,s theology, aside from the teachings on Calvinism.
