Unity Within The Church

I Corinthians 1:10-17

Introduction:

This section of Paul’s writing deals with the issue of harmony or unity. Verse 9 reminds us that we are called into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  This means that we are rightly related to him and as a result we should be rightly related to one another.  The very fact that people have selfish attitudes and a sinful nature means that sometimes there will be quarrels within the local church.  Remember that the church is supposed to be like family; a place where people have a relationship to the same Father and a desire to get along.
