This Is Love - Part 2
The Mercy Of God
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel.
I am moved by what I believe.
I believe the WORD of God!
The victory is mine!
I have it now!
I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
The simplest but, perhaps most profound definition of God’s mercy and grace is this: grace is God’s giving us what we do not deserve, and mercy is God’s not giving us what we do deserve.
God’s Mercy
Before we can fully appreciate God’s mercy, we first have to understand how serious our sin is in God’s eyes
When we realize the greatness and the extent of God’s mercy and when we clearly see God’s mercy, we will praise Him with everything that is within us
David began with an eruption of praise to the Lord.
To bless the Lord is to praise and express love and gratitude for all that God is and all that He does.
Yahweh or Jehovah is God’s personal name.
It reveals His heart and what He is like.
This Is Love
David Says
This is why - I cannot let my current circumstances as difficult as they are hinder my praise!
On my worst day - I know I am Loved, I am Forgiven, and I Am Redeemed
The challenges of life are merely temporary, but the benefits of God’s goodness and mercy are eternal
When we do, like David, we will overflow with praise to the Lord.
Bless God!
This Is Love
Everything that we are and have is because of God’s mercy and grace toward us
His love for us is beyond our comprehension
God understands our weaknesses.
Jesus became one of us in order to identify with us as frail human beings.
Because Christ lived facing the trials and temptations of life, He is able to help us when we are tempted and tried
