Luke 17:20–21 NASB95
20 Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; 21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
Romans 14:16–17 NKJV
16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14.17
Acts 1:1–5 NKJV
1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. 4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Romans 14:17 NKJV
17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Title - The Holy Spirit And The Kingdom Of God

The Dispensation Of The Holy Spirit, Part 5
Main Points
the role of the Holy Spirit in manifesting the kingdom of God
Background
What is the kingdom of God?
It is the sphere of rule where God’s will is proclaimed and obeyed.
It is the rule of God
Although God is Sovereign and rules over all His creation, He has allowed Satan to have dominion over humanity through sin.

The Coming of the Kingdom

Luke 17:20 NKJV
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
The kingdom of God will not come in the way the Jews were expecting.
Earthly kingdoms arrive with an army and weapons to destroy an existing kingdom and take over the population.
God’s kingdom has come without the earthly kingdom and people knowing it!
Matthew 12:28 NKJV
28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Jesus was accused of casting out demons by the ruler of demons
Matthew 12.
Jesus said Satan cannot cast out and destroy his own, otherwise his kingdom will not stand or continue.
Jesus was casting our demons by the Spirit of God.
Only the Spirit of God can cast out demonic spirits, being greater than all spirits.
Jesus’ works indicate the arrival and presence of the kingdom of God.
He cast out demons
He healed sickness and diseases
He raised the dead
Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit at the beginning of His ministry, so that He can begin the advance of the Kingdom of God.
He proclaimed the coming of the kingdom of God
He manifested the presence of the kingdom of God
He taught his disciples things pertaining to the kingdom of God
Acts 1.1-5
THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT INDICATES THE PRESENCE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

The Sphere of the Kingdom

Luke 17:21 NASB95

Luke 17:20–21 NKJV
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Earthly kingdoms arrive with an army and weapons to destroy an existing kingdom and take over the population.
God’s kingdom has come

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
