Introduction

What’s one thing that you’d like to change about yourself?
How long have you been trying to do that?

In Our World

We want to see our world renewed, as we see so much wrong with it
War & conflict among and in nations
Stopping to pray - Jordan; how many times!
Asking for God’s kingdom and rule to come acknowledges our inability to bring wholeness to our world
Our prayers are oriented towards God for the benefit of our world
Deep in our souls we can almost see the world as it was supposed to be
,
This is our longing for the world

In Us

Praying for God’s rule in our lives is far more difficult than praying for “out there”
Praying for the world feels good because we want to make a difference, but it’s often remote from us
When we pray for God’s kingdom to come and God’s will to be done, however, we’re also praying for that to happen in our lives
Giving up control of our own lives is not an easy thing
We pray for an active transfer of power from us to God
We are actively seeking for our lives to become God-oriented and subject to the will of God, even when we want to go anther direction
Our prayer help us to transform (re-orient) our thoughts and actions (towards God)
