Scripture: Psa 121:1-8

1. He Will Help You (vv.1-2)

A. Who is He?

  • Creator, Almighty God: unlimited in power, resources, knowledge, wisdom, understanding

B. Who is He to you in Christ?

  • Your loving and caring Heavenly Father

C. Who are you to Him?

  • His special and precious son/daughter

D. What can He do for you?

  • Exceedingly abundantly more than what we can ask, think or imagine (Eph. 3:20)

I Samuel 17

Israel Looked At Goliath

  • They became fearful and ran away from him
  • They saw Goliath as bigger than their God = a hopeless situation

David Looked To God

  • He became bold and ran toward Goliath and defeated him
  • He saw God as bigger than Goliath = a hopeful situation

How Big is Your Problem Today?

Remember: God is much bigger than your problem

Memorise: Psalm 46:1-2a

Don’t let fear cancel out or overrule your faith in God.

Why? Because God is bigger than your problem and He will help you be victorious.

2. He Will Watch Over You (vv.3-6)

A. He will not let your foot slip (v.3)

  • He will keep you stable and steadfast, steady and strong (Psalm 37:23-24)

B. He will neither slumber nor sleep (v.4)

  • He is always awake
  • Trust Him and go to sleep

C. He is your shade at your right hand (v.5)

  • He is with you and beside you
  • Psa. 16:8

!!D. He will watch over you at all times (v.6)

  • the sun will not harm you by day = sunstroke
  • the moon will not harm you by night = moonstruck
  • Psa. 91:5-6; 91:1-2

3. He Will Protect You (vv.7-8)

A. He will keep you from all harm

B. He will watch over your life

C. He will watch over your coming and going

  • every aspect of your life
  • every transition in your life.

How often?

  • both now and forevermore = always

Luke 21:16-19

Have Faith In God. Why?

He is your good Heavenly Father and He loves you and cares for you, and He wants to help you.
