Jesus fixed it
Genesis 3:1–6 NASB95
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’ ” 4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! 5 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

NASB
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.”
The garden represent the place of the presence of God.
More than a place though the garden represent a position.
A state of closeness and relationships.
God desire for man from the beginning.
To have community with God.
So God formed man.
The word formed means, to mold into shape as a potter.
“But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.”
Isaiah 64:8 NASB95
8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.
NASB
NASB
The desire of the evil one is to separate and destroy man's innocents.
Notice
And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
In the day you eat your eyes will be open and you be like God knowing God and evil.
Notice the attack is against your innocence.
Your eyes will be open.
When a child is shown pornography at a young age, the attack was against the child’s innocence.
When one is innocent he lacks the maturity to respond correctly..
That’s why we shelter our children.. we don’t let them see certain movies or watch certain shows.. we don’t bring them around certain people..
And the enemies plan is To expose us and bring forth pain and pain bring with isolation.
Let's keep reading.
“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.”
Genesis 3:6 NASB95
6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
NASB
Notice when she saw...
“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.”
1 John 2:15–17 NASB95
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
NASB
Often times things in the world seems more desirable than following the will of God.
See the perimeter are good for you.
God is not trying to take your freedom his trying to preserve your innocence.
But there is a system or a spirit in the world that is continually trying to draw us out of God presence.
She saw.. Wasn't just that she looked she saw.
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food,
Lust of the flesh
She saw that it was a delight to the eyes,
Lust of the eyes
and that the tree was desirable to make one wise
Pride of life
Every sin includes these.
Our flesh, our covetousness , and our pride.
Because we were drawn away.
Often times addition start because someone offered us sometime.
We saw it might feel good. We thought it might make us look good and we rebelled again God authorities in our lives.
Then we see a cycle beginning.
I was hurt or abused or exposed and then...
she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.”
Notice the victim becomes the victimizer.
Spreading his addiction. Spreading his hatred. The abused becomes the abuser.
Hurting people hurt people and when there is whole in ones heart often we go out of our way to fix them and along the way we hurt other
I was controlled so now feeling in control feel the whole of being controlled and now my life is out of control.
That's why it's important for you to get healed man or woman of God.
Don't let you pain cause you to hurt someone that you are called to minister to.
Now notice what the lord says...
Because even in our sin he is still after us...
Genesis 3:9–11 NASB95
9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
NASB
Then comes man's isolation, Shame, and fear
Instead of running to God he runs Away from God
Instead of repenting the blame game starts
Genesis 3:12–13 NASB95
12 The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
NASB
NASB
Then the finger pointing starts
It was the woman you gave me
It was the serpent you created.
If I just said better parents
If I just send more money
If they would've been nicer to me
It's not my fault I'm a product of my environment.
The devil made me do it. No taking on responsibility.
Then they began having children
Genesis 4:1 NASB95
1 Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, “I have gotten a manchild with the help of the Lord.”
NASB
NASB
Not in their innocence but in their sin.
Psalm 51:5 NASB95
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.
NASB
NASB
So by chapter 6... Sin filled the earth and every imagination of man was only evil continuously
But God had a plan.
I love how the message reads
Romans 5:12–14 The Message
12 You know the story of how Adam landed us in the dilemma we’re in—first sin, then death, and no one exempt from either sin or death. 13 That sin disturbed relations with God in everything and everyone, but the extent of the disturbance was not clear until God spelled it out in detail to Moses. So death, this huge abyss separating us from God, dominated the landscape from Adam to Moses. 14 Even those who didn’t sin precisely as Adam did by disobeying a specific command of God still had to experience this termination of life, this separation from God. But Adam, who got us into this, also points ahead to the One who will get us out of it.

Christ takes on the devil right on
Jesus then passes what Adam failed.

Matthew 4:1–11 NASB95
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ” 5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written, He will command His angels concerning You’; and On their hands they will bear You up, So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ ” 7 Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ” 8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; 9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’ ” 11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.
(NASB95)
The Temptation of Jesus
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.
3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ”
5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,
‘He will command His angels concerning You’;
and
‘On their hands they will bear You up,
So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ ”
7 Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”
8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory;
9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’ ”
11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.
Lust of the flesh (turn these stones to bread) I got bread. Or I dont have to.
Lust of the eye (look him to a holy city tell him to look down. Cast your self down. God said he would give his angle charge over you.) Jesus says it also says don’t temp God. Basically I don’t have to empress you.
Pride of life (I will give you all these things if you fall down and worship me) Jesus says Get behind. (that where the Devil belongs behind us. Under our feet. I will only worship the Lord thy God.
Matthew 4:11 NASB95
11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.
(NASB95)
11 Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.
Cmon somebody resist the devil and he shall flee
