The Deluge Of Noah
Intro.
We are referring to it as the deluge of Noah this morning in order to set it apart for other floods that have taken place over time.
This flood is the greatest flood that has ever taken place and ever will- I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Noah’s flood has many critics without the church, and nearly as many within the church.
Most scientist deny the flood, while at same time admitting that some type of flood was necessary to form fossils and geological formations we find worldwide.
(Fossils require a cataclysmic event, such as a flood) Why do they reject the idea of Noah’s flood?
Because if Noah’s flood is true then there is a God who will judge sin.
You must answer the question this morning, as well.
Is Noah’s flood true?
If it is not then you must account for the scientific findings that validate the worldwide flood.
If it is true then you will give an account for your words, thoughts, and actions in this life.
Jesus validates the historical account of the flood in , .
With the scriptures in our hand we need not fear science, but rather science need fear the scriptures.
Scriptures speak of heaven and hell, eternity, and how to secure your destiny in heaven.
Science has not answer for the most important question of every person, What am I? And What is my destiny?
Science denies the credibility of scripture, because if they endorse it then there is a God who judges sin, and judgment will come.
Science wants a universe without God, but at every turn they are confronted with unprovable theories.
If you desire to deny the flood take the time to do your research.
there are multiple books written on the geological, climatological, and many other results of the flood.
We are going to look at the practical, personal applications of the flood.
