Creation vs evolution II
Pastor's Business Card
>
A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his
parishioners.
At one house it seemed obvious that
someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door.
Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote
"Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in
the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday,
he found that his card had been returned.
Added to it
was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10."
Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he
broke up in gales of laughter.
Revelation 3:20 begins
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock."
Genesis3:10
reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."
"A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Prov.
17:22)
How did humans(and everything else) come into existence?
The only explanation you will find in public schools and university textbooks is the theory of evolution.
Yet no scientific, provable evidence has ever been found to support the theory of evolution since Charles Darwin made it popular in 1859.
If there is no proof of this theory of evolution, why is no other alternative taught?
I have come up with two reasons:
1.
The Bible’s creation account is not “politically acceptable.”
2. The authors, book publishers, and school boards do not have all the facts.
We can not help the first condition.
But it is my job as a preacher of the gospel of Christ to equipt the saints with knowledge and power of Gods Holy word.
So today I want to cover the Creation Account and the Theory of Evolution.
I want to give you “the Christian” the facts and let you decide for your self.
Last week we heard how complex the world was in just the first four verses, and how that just couldn’t have happened like the evolutionists want you to believe.
Now I want to bring you up to date with one of the biggest controversies of our time, Evolution vs Creation.
Mark 10:6
6 But from the beginning of the creation, God /‘made them male and female.’/
Revelation 4:11
11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”

I first want to start with how evolution started.
Charles Darwin studied wildlife while on a voyage, and he noticed the variation in the appearance of individual animals.
He guessed that given enough time, would allow these animals to change the way they look.
Now this is not a surprising discovery, anyone can look at different types of flowers or cats to see this.
This process of changing an organism’s appearance through a series of small changes is correctly called microevolution (with an i), and is not what we are referring to when we talk about “the Theory of Evolution.
A frog may be larger or change in color, but it is still a frog, not a fish or a lizard.
Textbooks and media teach us that we came into existence by a two step process.
1. 10 plus billion years of accidental, random atomic collisions resulted in the formation of some simple form of life.
Scientist call this type of development of living organism from non living matter “abiogensis”.
2. The Darwin Theory, stated that this simple life evolved over the next 3 plus billion years into plants, animals and humans we see today—using long term effects of micro evolutionary changes.
Now scientist call this process of developing new life forms “macroevolution (with an a).
Now both of these processes put together are what the public and the scientific community thinks the “theory of evolution” is.
When you talk or discuss evolution with a evolutionist, they will try to impress you with micro evolution proof, which as we have learned is partially true.
But the bottom line is there is no reproducible or testable proof for abiogenesis or macroevolution.
So beware!!!
Matthew 7:15
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits.
Now for creation!!!!!
Genesis 2
*2* Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.
2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
4 This /is/ the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
As we know the Bible is not a science book, yet it is scientifically accurate.
There is no Scientific evidence that contradicts the Bible.
Since we can prove the Bible is true it only make sense to find out what the bible tells us about how life was created and how we got here.
After all, if God is really God, He was there at the time and would know how to tell us what happened.
Noted astronomer or astrophysicist Hugh Ross has the exact same order of the creation of the universe in his book “the finger of God” as the creation account given in Genesis.
He states
1. Creation of the physical universe,(space, time, matter, energy, galaxies, stars, plants, etc.)
2. Transformation of the earth’s atmosphere from opaque {impervious to the rays of light} to translucent.
3. Formation of a stable water cycle
4. Establishment of continents and oceans.
5. Production of plants on the continents
6. Transformation of the atmosphere from translucent to transparent.(
Sun, moon, and stars became visible
7. Production of small sea animals.
8. Creation of mammals.
9. Creation of birds.
10. Making of land mammals
11. Creation of mankind
Now understand the Mr. Ross believes in the big bang theory but I found it odd that he puts the creation of the universe in the same order as the bible.
For example Mr. Ross states the light from the sun, moon and stars are results of earths atmospheric change not from God creating them.
I only added this list to show you that some scientist agree with the order of the bibles creation account not creation itself.
This does not mean that I believe in the bible because we can find scientific proof that agrees it.
But that science is starting to look at the bible to prove what they have found.
1 John 4:1-3
*4* Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.
And this is the /spirit/ of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Church I’m not asking you to take my word on anything here today but as John is telling each of us we need to test every spirit.
If something does not sit right with you open your bible and dig for yourself.
The internet has thousands of sites with credible and biblical information.
One of the best sites I found on evolution was at the University of California at Berkley.
It has pictures and tons of information and lots of others sites to go to, but with all the information I could not find any provable or testable evidence to back up the Theory of Evolution.
Also please understand that you should never get into an argument with someone over creation vs evolution.
Because most people who do not believe will not because the creation account:

It is not politically acceptable and does not fit into their lifestyle.
