Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.
Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. Did God really kill a sea monster?
no but this is clearly a Polemic of Caananite myth where Baal fight Yamm(chaos water) and Tannun/Litanu(sea monster) {Hebrew bible isn’t copying these myths, rather it takes the common understanding and applies the real truth a YHWH’s supremacy and tells of His ultimate plan… remember through all of this that HE HAS A PLAN....

, this beast may be a creature but the meaning is deeper… this “dragon” has many heads… a hydra… this comes into play in the last book of the bible as well...
