Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water. CDC reference

There is only one thing that separates us from God, and that is sin. But there is nothing worse than those sins that we hold onto.

When we confess, this is the beginning process to a more meaningful relationship with him

This is telling us about the character of the one your going to. Words like keep covenant (promise), and mercy.
He is Just to forgive us of our sins, when we sin.

what burdens or weights are you carry today that you don’t have to ?
what are you holding on to that is keeping you from having that rich and full relationship with God?

David is asking for a cleansing, because he has acknowledged his wrong.
be it habit or someone we have wronged, it needs to be acknowledged
you cannot just want to look the part of a Christian

The outside of the cup is clean but the important part of the cup is where the food will be.
How are you keeping where the Holy Spirit will dwell?

We will be taking communion shortly and it is our responsibility to be right not just with God but also with man.

Translation MAKE IT RIGHT first and then come onto me.
When we hold on to negative things they tend to affect us in ways we don’t see till it’s too late.

God is light and there is not darkness.
you cannot be in darkness and walk with God.
But he that is in the light has fellowship one with another.

Those that are the people of God are blessed
They walk in God’s light
They rejoice all day, because God is their strength, and in His favor we SHALL be EXALTED.
Whatever IT is, now is the time to confess it to the Lord. Now is the tiem to make it right and walk in the light of the Lord and be blessed. There is an old saying “confession is good for the soul.” But Paul says it a little better
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Take off the weights of sin, and let the God of light cleanse you. Don’t let this opportunity pass and the devil continue to hold you in a place of darkness.
