THE BIBLE FORMULA FOR INCREASING IN WISDOM
.
God puts upon us the responsibility of getting wisdom.
He requires effort from us if we are to be rewarded with His wisdom.
The Bible is very clear on what we must do to obtain wisdom.
he Bible is very clear on what we must do to obtain wisdom.
God is going to make us work for it.
Salvation is free, but wisdom comes with a price tag.
It is not handed out like candy to the immature and undedicated.
Welcome to real life, my friend.
The teenager who is given a car by his parents seldom values it as he should.
But let that same teenager work and save money and earn that car himself, then he will value it.
“Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
“For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
“She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.”—.
Wisdom is a valuable commodity.
God expects you to want it badly enough to put out the effort to obtain it.
Here is what He requires if you wish to increase in wisdom: 1. Fear the Lord.
All wisdom comes from God.
If we are to increase in wisdom, our relationship to Him must be right.
So the starting point for receiving either knowledge or wisdom is establishing a right relationship with Him.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.”—.

Here is what He requires if you wish to increase in wisdom:
1. Fear the Lord
All wisdom comes from God.
If we are to increase in wisdom, our relationship to Him must be right.
So the starting point for receiving either knowledge or wisdom is establishing a right relationship with Him.
Like a child you cannot teach a child something unless he will sit still and listen
nurture and admonition of the Lord
You must start at the beginning.
The young person who wants wisdom needs to understand that God deserves our respect and awe.
He has illustrated throughout His Word two undeniable facts: He loves people, and He hates sin.
God is to be both loved and feared.
This is not a contradiction.
The teenager who views God as one who overlooks sin or winks at sin does not understand who God is.
Without a fear of God, you will never become wise.
This is the starting place.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction
Proverbs 1:7
Can you give me an example of this ?
Pro   The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
What are some ways teens show they do not hate evil?
fools make a mock at sin do you hate it
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; And before honour is humility.
2. Be teachable
Nothing prevents the flow of wisdom faster than a man’s pride.
I know w teenager he thought he was good driver and he was so bad he killed his mom by swerving and I was trying to tell him how to drive and he said I already know I am a better driver than you
Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
In order to receive God’s wisdom, we must trade in our “wisdom.”
Labour not to be rich: Cease from thine own wisdom.
We must approach the Bible humbly as a student who is willing to believe whatever the Bible teaches.
Too many times our preconceived notions about what we already believe to be true prevent us from being willing to accept clear biblical instruction.
We approach the Bible determined to make it back up what we have already accepted as truth, instead of adjusting our beliefs to its teachings.
So be teachable.
This is know as confirmation bias.
I hate dogs my wife loves them but she is scared of cock roaches
Google how cock roaches are dangerous terminex website
Google how many people dogs kill in america 40
the benifits of cok roaches
Just be more ready to listen and to learn
Receive instruction.
God, in His wisdom, has provided you with parents, grandparents, teachers and a pastor.
Receive instruction.
God, in His wisdom, has provided you with parents, grandparents, teachers and a pastor.
All of these people are commanded by God to teach you wisdom.
So having the right attitude toward instruction is essential if you are to increase in wisdom.
“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning
“I don’t like people telling me what to do!” seems to be the theme of a rebellious generation.
Having the right attitude toward instruction will put you leaps and bounds ahead of your peers.
While they, in their stubbornness, insist on learning everything the “hard way,” you can learn from those who have gone before and avoid many mistakes and heartaches.
Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
3. Pray for Wisdom
The Bible clearly instructs us to ask God for wisdom.
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Wisdom should be near the top of your prayer list.
