1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. (NKJ)

Eph 2:1-2 + 10

1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (NKJ)

Isa 40:31

31 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. (NKJ)

Wait:

a primitive root; to bind together (perhaps by twisting), i.e. collect; (figuratively) to expect:

KJV-- gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).

HOW SHOULD WE WALK?

WALK

tread all around, i.e. walk as proof of ability, to live,  follow as a companion

Walk as followers of Christ

I Jn 2:6

6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (NKJ)

We are not following someone that was, we are following someone that is!

Matt 16:24-26

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

25 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

26 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (NKJ)

Matt 9:1-6

1 So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city.

2 Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you."

3 And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, "This Man blasphemes!"

4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?

5 "For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Arise and walk'?

6 "But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"-- then He said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." (NKJ)

Acts 3:6

6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." (NKJ)

Acts 3:12

12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? (NKJ)

*let him deny himself,

(you are deny yourself the right to lead your life!)

533  aparneomai-

to deny

a) to affirm that one has no acquaintance or connection with someone

b) to forget oneself, lose sight of oneself and one's own interests

*You will not be able to pick up the cause of Christ before you lay down your own cause.

*take up his cross

Luke 14:26-27

26 "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

27 "And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. (NKJ)

            *he cannot be My disciple.

If you do not place Christ before anything else you will not make it. you cannot be my disciple! Unless you prioritize your life you will always lose your focus.

*forsake all that he has

Luke 14:33

33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. (NKJ)

            *forsake all that he has

We put our possesions before Christ!

*Follow me!

If ye continue...

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV)
