In this petition, we are praying to God that the kingdom of Christ will come and remain among us, both in this life and finally on the Last Day.
We ask God that we will remain faithful and daily grow in His grace, so that many more will come to Christ’s kingdom.
This petition shows that God wants us to ask not only for small cares and needs of life, but also for great things from Him.
If God invites us to pray for such great and p 414 wonderful things as His kingdom of grace, surely He will provide also for our daily needs.
What Is God’s Kingdom?
The Kingdom of God is His ruling as King over the whole universe (Kingdom of Power);

How It Comes to You
God’s Kingdom Reigns in Us.
We pray that it will happen with us; that His name may be praise in His Word and in our Christian lives that the Word may daily grow in us.
But, unfortunately, some are content with their own kingdoms they’ve created.
People are apt to put their trust in the kingdoms that they can see.
Others are so full of unbelief that they don’t even look to God for even the basic needs of life.
