*Phil 4:6-7*

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, *will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.*

1 O God, You are my God; *early will I seek You*; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory.

3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.

4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.

*Mark 1:35*

35 Now in the morning, *having risen a long while before daylight*, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

18 And *pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests*.

With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought,* but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

5 Now hope does not disappoint, *because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.*

 

*1 Cor 2:7-16*

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages *for our glory,*

8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which *God has prepared for those who love Him*."

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.

For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?

Even so *no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God*.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

16 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?"

But we have *the mind of Christ.*

*Prov 2:4-11*

4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

5 Then shalt thou *understand the fear of the LORD*, and *find the knowledge of God*.

6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;

11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

 

*Jude 1:20-21*

20 But you, beloved, *building yourselves up* on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

21 *keep yourselves in the love of God*, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

*1 Cor 14:14-17*

14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

15 So what shall I do?

I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.

16 If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say "Amen" to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?

17 You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified.(NIV)

·      *Know the things that remove the effectivness of your prayers.*

*Phil 4:8-9*

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-- meditate on these things.

9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.(NKJ)

 

*1 Tim 4:12-16*

12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine.

Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

·      The things that you meditate on will be the things that you speak about.

If you are releasing your faith to God through prayer and then canceling them with your mouth later what good is it to pray?
