Introduction
Scripture: ,,
11 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
14 And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel?
behold, ||my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.
16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
6:1 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
2 And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.
3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.

We have just witnessed a historic election like none other in the history of our country.
We saw candidates run campaigns and individuals who supported them and had faith in who they were standing behind.
No matter who you vote for, there could only be one victor in the end.
But in order to become a winner in victory, there must be a process which takes place.
There had to workers that organized the campaigns…there had to be volunteers that knocked on doors getting people registered to vote.
There had to be polling done…there had to be materials printed in order to get the word out about what each candidate stood for.
And for all of the hard work, dedication, knocking on doors, polling and maneuvering that took place, the fact remains that there could ONLY be one winner.
We know that the Israelites were God’s people and if you have studied anything about them you know they displeased God.
Yes let me pause of a brief history lesson here.
The Israelites were God’s CHOSEN people.
They were those whom he loved and whom said they loved him.
But yet saying you love me and showing that you love me are two totally different things.
It was because of God’s divine covenant with Abraham that he would choose the Israelites to be his people in the first place and when God chooses you there’s nothing you can do about it.

They wanted to do things their way and started forsaking the ways of God.Doesn’t that sound like the modern day church? There’s a spirit of apostasy running ramped in the world today.
Never would I have thought that I would see the day where the church accepted any and everything.
(Let me just put a quarter in the meter and park right here) (Expound)We live in a time where there seems to be a falling away of the saints of God.We are living in a world where they call right wrong and wrong right. There was a time when the saints of God wouldn’t have a problem coming to prayer service. There was a time when the saints of God could be found witnessing. There was a time when the saints of God could be found praying and fasting. What happened to the days of old where we would be found on our knees, praying until change comes? What happened to the days of miracles in our churches?I’ll tell you what happened, we invited our own agendas into God’s house and left no room for HIS glory.
The spirit of the antichrist has crept up into the Church of God.Our pastors are no longer preaching the truth of God but are merely preaching what will keep the pews filled.
We no longer are led by God but many are led by their lustful desires. No longer are we allowing God’s word to be the litmus test of our lives. We’ve got to get back to our first love!!!!So understand, dear saints and friends, that it was up to this point where we see the cycle of God’s grace, mercy & his kindness in operation.See there’s consequences for disobedience to God.And sometimes your obedience to God will cause you to walk alone. But look at your neighbor and tell them I would rather be alone than be disobedient to God.
