A little review of last week.
We are in a position by Faith to:

·         Have peace with God
·         Be able to enter into his Grace where we can stand (live etc..) and confidently look forward to becoming all that he has planned us to be.
·         We can rejoice in the midst of problems and trials, because this will make our faith and hope in him stronger.
This will produce a testimony of his goodness and we will have something to say to the world.
Let’s continue in this  *¨**Life of Faith*“
!
!
! Mark 9:15-29
15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.
16 "What are you arguing with them about?" he asked.
17 A man in the crowd answered, "Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.
18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground.
He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid.
I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not."
19* "O unbelieving generation*," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you?
How long shall I put up with you?
Bring the boy to me." 20 So they brought him.
When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion.
He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
21 Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has he been like this?" "From childhood," he answered.
22 "It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him.
But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
23 "'If you can'?" said Jesus.
*"Everything is possible for him who believes."*
24 Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, *"I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"* 25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit.
"You deaf and mute spirit," he said, "I command you, come out of him and never enter him again."
26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out.
The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, "He's dead."
27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" 29 He replied, "This kind can come out only *by prayer*."
(NIV)

·         *What is prayer?
Prayer is the release of our faith.*
! Mark 11:22-24
22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.
23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' *and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him*.
24 Therefore I tell you*, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours*.
(NIV)

·         *O unbelieving generation!
*, "how long shall I stay with you?
How long shall I put up with you? *Or how long do I have to do your believing  for you?*

! James 5:15
15 And the *prayer of faith* shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
·         So there is a prayer with no faith, right?
!
Heb 11:1-3 + 6
1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
! Heb 11:32-40
32 And what more shall I say?
I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.
35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again.
Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection.
36 Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison.
37 They were stoned; they were sawn in two; they were put to death by the sword.
They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and ill-treated-- 38 the world was not worthy of them.
They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.
39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.
40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
