Character!
The fruit is the character of the tree!
This is what the tree produces!
This is what you are! Character: This is what you do when no one else is around, what you produce without trying.*

·      *I see a picture of the body of Christ like comparing two trees.
One is a fruit tree and the other is a Christmas tree!
One is cut off and we hang things on it to decorate it, to make it look like it is a live.
We then surround it with gifts.
The other is alive and producing fruit!*

Instead of developing the Character~/Fruit we have settled for the synthetic fruit, the fruit of others, the decorations, the christmas spirit, the gifts.
And just like the modern day christmas, it is all based on selfishness!!!*

16 This I say then, *Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh*.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

I thought love was a choice?
It is a choice to yield to it, not a choice to produce it!*

You do not go to a fruit tree each year and remind it to produce fruit, do you?(Gen.1:11)

Because we do not walk in the spirit!

Doing these because of the Spirit is Liberty!*
 
·     *My job as pastor is not to number one, develop gifts in you, but fruit!
To teach you to walk in the spirit and to develop the fruit of the spirit..ie  pruning with the Word, chances to practice, doing the works of Jesus!
We need to go for the Fruit first.
The lack of fruit is hindering the use of our gifts and the will of God in our lives.
God will not pour out his power till we can control ourselves!*
