Matthew 6:25-34 Pastor Jeff Jowers

Kingdom is Life

Life is more than any worldly thing.

Anxiety in one area seeps in to all other parts of life.

Jesus calls us to look past all worldly things so the Kingdom would be first in our lives.

Life is more than food, clothes, or money, but none of it is more than the Kingdom.

The King Loves You

Jesus points out the great care God gives for things that are almost worthless.

By contrast the King is saying that you are valuable.

In vs30 Jesus calls us to trust in God’s loving care.

God showed the depths of His care for us in Jesus Christ (Romans 8:32).

The King is Powerful

Our power and worry accomplish nothing but harm (vs27).

When we consider the power of God, we should never fight for control.

Jesus isn’t calling us to minimize our needs, but to be sure we don’t minimize God.

If we care about our needs, we must trust God with them.
