Notes & Transcripts

We can all identify with this picture.  Every one of us has a meter running and no amount of pleading or begging or wrangling will allow us to put more money in the meter.  The Creator drops the change in and winds it up and then what we do with our “parking time” here is up to us.  However, we don’t know when the time on our meter expires.  (James 4:14; Job 14:1-6; Ps 39:4-5; Ps 90:1-17; 2Sam 14:14)

The picture is from Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Oklahoma.

Photo from an e-mail I received with the following text:

I got this from a woman online. A friend of hers died, who had a great sense of humor and always used to say that when she died she wanted a parking meter on her grave that says "Expired".  So her nephew got her one on ebay!  She said that her grave is right by the road so everyone can see it and many people have stopped to get a chuckle.
