Being a Christian is not always easy. During your school days, it can actually be tough at times. Some may make fun of you, laugh at or talk about you behind your back. When you are dedicated to your church and youth group you can miss out on other events that your friends may be attending.
There has probably been a time when you have asked yourself… “Is it worth it?”
How you answer that question will literally be a life changer!
Jesus makes sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you answer that question.
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
If you answer yes to that question, it will not be easy.
You have to live a life that is not about you.
You will have pain and difficulties. He’s not sugar-coating it.
These are a must if you choose to follow Christ.
If you go all in, it will absolutely change your life and cost you something.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
If you choose to live “in the zone” that the Lord wants us to live in. You will have to let go of YOUR life. Your life will now be His life.
If you lose your life for His. You will have an amazing life. A wonderful life. A life that matters.
Jesus didn’t come to leave heaven, come to earth, die on the cross, get buried, raise on the 3rd day and go back to heaven - so you can go to school, get a job, retire and die.
He wants to give you a life that matters. Will you accept it? Your choice.
