Love Mercy
Micah 6:8 NKJV
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
Davids instructions to Solomon
1 Chronicles 28:10–12 NKJV
10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” 11 Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat; 12 and the plans for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of the Lord, of all the chambers all around, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries for the dedicated things;
1 Chronicles 28:10–11 NKJV
10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” 11 Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat;
1 Chronicles
David always referred to the mercy as the Ark of the Covenant until he is about to hand over the blueprints to the temple to his son Solomon.
David had 30 years of experience with God’s mercy
He had 13 major calamities in his life which caused him to see more than Gods judgement but rather His Mercy.
David had sinned against God and his kingdom and deserved Judgement and even death but God gave him another chance.
Give Him Another Chance Football Illustration
God’s mercy says give them another chance...
We need to make room for Mercy in our lives.
We need to Grow Merciful
We will never understand mercy until we have been wronged.
We always think of church hurt as a bad thing and though it feels horrible to be done wrong, those moments are truly our moments to shine in mercy.
The Mercy Seat was in the middle between the cherubim wings
The Glory of the Lord would rest above the mercy seat between the cherubim wings when the Presence of God was with the people.
The Stone tablets were under the mercy seat
The tablets caused 3,000 people to be put to death with judgement when they came down off the mountain.
But God had Moses place them under mercy
The pot of manna was placed under mercy and it didn’t spoil or rot
God provides for us under His Mercy
Aaron’s rod that budded was placed under mercy
God restores us under His Mercy
Mercy belongs in the middle
Do Justly
Walk Humbly
Love Mercy
Walk Humbly
Matthew 5:3
Matthew 5:3–12 NKJV
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Mercy is the fulcrum (pivot) point
Man at the pool of Bethesda
John 5:5–9 NKJV
5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” 7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.
One meaning of the name Bethesda is“House of Mercy”
Grace met mercy for this sick man and the miraculous happened.

How many times have you been merciful to those who were undeserving?
If you want mercy you must be willing to give mercy.
Have MERCYYYY!!!
"house of mercy," or perhaps "place of flowing water."
Mercy Triumphs over Judgement
James 2:12–13 NKJV
12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
