Introduction

Everyone worships. The Difference between Christian worship and secular worship is the who of worship. In Christian Faith we worship Father, Son (Jesus Christ) Holy Spirit.
But we all worship something even many things. I have said it before Worth ship is something that we declare to a lot of things.
If Lord is to be lord, worship of Him must have priority in our lives.
Jesus even claims the greatest of all the commandments it to Love the Lord with all that you are.

John 4:22-26

John 4:22–26 LEB
You worship what you do not know. We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews. But an hour is coming—and now is here—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for indeed the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers. God is spirit, and the ones who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); “whenever that one comes, he will proclaim all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I, the one speaking to you, am he.
As I look a this passage I see that even those who have not known or heard the truth of Jesus Christ because of our failings can come to know who the Father is.
I also see that we cannot rely on the structured outward signs of worship. It isn’t enough to just go to worship we must worship. That is why it says we must worship in Spirit and in Truth.
Richard Foster describes worship in the community of Believers as
“To worship is to experience Reality, to touch Life. it is to know, to feel, to experience the resurrected Christ in the midst of the gathered community.”
William Temple
To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to pen the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God.
Worship is the human response to the divine. The Father seeks such to be his worshipers. Did you see that in verse 23. God seeks such people

Where Does Worship Happen?

Worship begins in the heart not in the Church. Which means worship beings not when you get to church and hear that song that touches you, but while you are living out the demands of your day. We work, we play, we eat, we sleep. yet we are ever listening to our Teacher.
We worship in Communion with others.
Matthew 18:20 LEB
For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in the midst of them.”
We worship in song, we worship in fellowship, we worship in study, we gather and as we gather there is what the Biblical writers call Koinonia. a deep inward fellowship in the power of the Spirit
And who leads us in this worship. Not a person but the the Holy Trinity. To the Father, through blood of Jesus Christ enabled by the Holy Spirit. Which means we shouldn’t be looking at the person, shouldn't even notice when a sour not is hit or if we like that song or not. because its about YHWH. as He leads we should expect miracles. inward and outward. We should expect to be in communion
It means we should see the person that we are with not just seeing others as being in our way, because all activity and all brothers and sisters are part of the worship of God. as we cultivate holy dependency
