Last year our theme was “A Faithful Church: Keeping Victorious Momentum until our Union with Christ.”

It is our commitment and consistency honor Christ in our life and activities that keeps us moving forward victoriously.

In 2019 our theme is “A Worshiping Church: Coming out and Staying out of Bondage to Enjoy our God now and forever.”

I’ve seen God’s people struggling to make ends meet, struggling to keep a roof over our heads, struggling to escape the shadows and horror of our past, struggling to be hopeful when it seems like the decks are stacked against you.

Yes, struggling to keep a smile on your face because you are crying on the inside most of the time.

Jesus tells us...

God has a plan to deliver and free his people no matter how great the opposition!

Help Lord, free us by your power!

PLEASE STAND WITH ME FOR THE READING OF GOD’S Holy WORD!

I like to preach this morning as the Holy Spirit guides from the thought...

State the Title: IT’S UNSTOPPABLE!

<Tell somebody near you… KEEP YOUR HEAD UP; THE PLAN GOD HAS FOR YOU IS UNSTOPPABLE!!!

IT’S UNSTOPPABLE

Prayer of Illumination: Father, send your Holy Spirit and fill us that our hearts are receptive to your word.

Help me to be faithful to your word, give me clarity needful for our journey, give me your power to preach with the authority you have given, and passion for your glory to be revealed, guide us by your wisdom, may I decrease and you INCREASE LORD JESUS and set all captives free, loosen every chain in Jesus name.

INTRODUCTION

Many African American leaders like Harriet Tubman and Marcus Garvey were call Moses, because of their desires to see captives set free.

Martin Luther King Jr. used the image of Moses atop Mt.

Nebo, gazing over the Promise Land to conclude his last sermon, Preached April 3, 1968, at Mason Temple in Memphis Tennessee.

But it is hard and difficult to see the promise underneath persecution and oppression.

We can be plagued with fear and settle for just survival and settling basic existences no different that a cat or a dog.

Why, because persecution and oppression of God’s people is design to strangle our hope in GOD.

This text shows us that our circumstances can change, but God’s plan is unstoppable!

Who: Authorship of the first five books is call the Pentateuch or Torah and has been attributed to Moses.

(Joshua 8:31-32; John 5:46) Written to God’s chosen people and provides a continuation from the book of Genesis and fulfillment of the Abrahamic promises (Gen 12, 15:12-18)

What: That God delivers his people and brings them out of Egypt.

That those who trust Him will know His salvation, and the covenant relationship God establishes with the sons of Israel.

Likely dictated to Moses by the Lord as he did the Law (Exodus 20:1).

That would mean written between 1600-1400 B.C.

Where: No evidence of exactly where.

Why: Israel is prospering in Egypt so slavery imposed.

The opening chapter of Exodus sets the background to the record of God’s dramatic deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.

Eventually, this results in the Lord coming to dwell among the Israelites, having entered into a special covenant relationship with them at Mount Sinai.

At the outset of Exodus, however, God does not dwell with the Israelites, and their experience of life becomes exceptionally harsh when a new pharaoh instigates a program of hard servitude designed to restrict the growth of the Israelite population.

WHEN GOD IS EXCLUDE FROM OUR LIVES BAD THINGS START TO HAPPEN.

AM I RIGHT ABOUT IT?

THIS PASSAGE THIS MORNING… REVEALS THAT GOD’S PEOPLE WILL EXPERIENCE PERSECUTION AND OPPRESSION BUT NOTHING CAN STOP HIS PROMISES TOWARD US.

HOW CAN WE REMAIN HOPEFUL WHEN PEOPLE OF INFLUENCE THINK MORE OF A THREAT THAN A BLESSING?

KNOWING THAT...

I. GOD IS INVOLVE WITH US EVEN WHEN WE ARE NOT WITH HIM (v.

20)

Where is the bondage?

A. ________ One of the greatest tragedies in life is for people to not know how significant they are to GOD and become prey.

God made a promise to Abraham in Genesis that continues here in Exodus.

B. LISTEN______ BECAUSE OF THE SEED THAT IS IN YOU THROUGH CHRIST JESUS YOU ARE AND CAN BE SIGNIFICANT.

C. HIS PROMISE IS UNSTOPPABLE!

YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT TO GOD.

YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD.

YOU ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM THROUGH CHRIST JESUS,

YOU ARE A PECULIAR PEOPLE, A HOLY NATION AND A ROYAL PREISTHOOD.

KEEP GOD FIRST SO THAT YOU DON”R LOOSE SIGHT OF WHO YOU REALLY ARE TO HIM! YOU MAY HAVE LOST SIGHT OF HIM BUT HE SEES YOU AND KNOWS YOU AND WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU!

KNOWING THAT...

GOD HAS PEOPLE WHOSE DESIRE TO HONOR HIM ARE WORKING ON OUR BEHALF (vv.

21)

A. ________ SOMETIMES WE MAY NOT BE PREPARED TO STAND UP AGAINST HATRED AND INJUSTICE.

Why because fear others more than we do the GOD of the universe.

The ladies new who was King of King and Lord or Lords.

The midwives reverenced God they respected Him, exalted Him and were in awe of Him, therefore God gave them the people of Israel families or social units or a house.

Not fragmented, independent, pockets of people, but community of families.

B. LISTEN______ I don’t care where you find your self in life or on the planet; God has people everywhere that he can dispatch in time of need.

C. HIS WILL IS UNSTOPPABLE!

ANYBODY HERE SEE GOD RAISE UP PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE THAT HAVE HELP KEEP YOU SAFE TO KEEP GROWING?

MY MOM AND GRANDMOTHER ARE WITH THE LORD NOW, BUT MY GRANDMOTHER HAD A BEST FRIEND NAMED MRS> CLARA AND ALTHOUGH MY GRANDMOTHER IS GONE Mrs. Clara still checks up on me and I on her monthly.

SOMETIMES WE JUST NEED TO LOOK AROUND AND THINK THINGS OVER… Then the complains with stop and the praise will begin!!!

THIS PASSAGE THIS MORNING… REVEALS THAT GOD’S PEOPLE WILL EXPERIENCE PERSECUTION AND OPPRESSION BUT NOTHING CAN STOP HIS PROMISES TOWARD US.

GOD ALSO HAS ENEMIES TO HIS WILL (vv.

22)

A. ________ WHEN YOU SIGNIFICANCE DEPENDS ON THE OPPRESSION OF OTHER PEOPLE YOU ARE AND ENEMY OF GOD.

Look what happens when you perceive the significance of others are a threat to you.

Pharaoh progresses from a disguised, but unsuccessful, policy of infanticide to one that openly involves all his people.

Pharaoh probably encourages the Egyptians to implement his evil instructions on the basis of national security and self-preservation

B. LISTEN______ We you have no vision of God in your life you can be blinded by fear and mistake blessings for a threat.

C. HIS VISION IS UNSTOPPABLE!

Recapitulation: WE CAN REMAIN HOPEFUL WITH PEOPLE OF INFLUENCES SEES US AS MORE OF A THREAT THAN A BLESSING BY KNOWING THAT GOD IS INVOLVE WITH US EVEN WHEN WE ARE NOT WITH HIM, GOD HAS PEOPLE WHOSE DESIRE TO HONOR HIM WORKING ON OUR BEHALF, AND GOD ALSO HAS ENEMIES TO HIS WILL.

Exhortation ; That’ll Preach!

His plan for your life is unstoppable!

Having a vision of God let’s you know there is significance in your living…

Because God is around in your life it changes the dynamics of your life.

We are not fooled anymore to think that it is our jobs that gives you significance or the size of your bank account, or your network of people that makes you significances but what gives Us significance is our vision of God.

The reality of him increasing in our life.

God did not just give us his word that there would be more ink on the page or another book on the shelf.

He gave us his word that we might know what he stands behind What?

GOD backs up his word!

God backs up his word so that we know where he stands.

And when you know where he stands, he helps us become who we need to be.

I am not who I used to be anymore because my vision of God changes my behavior.

Who I was last you don’t work no more.

Because God is at work in my life that way my savior came, that why Jesus came, died and rose again.

so the God promise is unstoppable,

God vision for your life is unstoppble

God love for you is unstoppable.

WITH HIM THERE IS STRENGTH TO MAKE IT

GOD’S PROMISES ARE UNSTOPPABLE!

God's people must face persecution from those opposed to the fulfillment of God's promises on the earth.
