A Song of Joy
David finds delight in the Lord and confess that everything good in his life comes from god.
every good giuft....
The Lord of Life
Preserve me - simply the knowledge that David needed God’s constant care and oversight that hius life might be lived for god;s glory, and that david did not disqualify himself from enjoying all the good things that God had given him.
health - marriage, family - ministry.
Lets take a few moments to delight in what the Lord has given us.
1: A Good Relationship.
Jesus Christ is our highest treasure.
He is the giver of every good and perfect gift.
To know and have a relationship with Jesus Christ is the highest privledge in life.
God constantly suppl;ies us with blessings.
and this supply will now run dry untill we finally end up in the father house.
2: A Good Companionship.
God never intened us to walk this road alone.
He has blessed us with companions that help us along the way.
in the immedient, our primary companion is our spouse.
It is not good for man to be alone.
So god made us a helper - which is what our spouse should be.
unfortinuatly many spuses hiner rather than help.
It is about time that we recognise that our spouses are a giuft from god and should be appreciated and cherished as such.
In the greater degree, we have companions in the form of our spiritual family - our church.
We pray for one another, edify one another, help one another, rebuke one another.
3: A Good Strewardshgip
It stands to reason that if Jesus Christ is trhe Lored of our Lives, and The giver of all we have then we are but stewards of what rhe Lord has given us.
RThe “lines” refered to here are the border lines of each of the tribes.
It is the materinal blessingfs God has given.
There are a few things to note here.
a) David did not complain about where the lines landed, he was thanksful.
Envy and coveting are sins that exists because we are unhappy with where our lines have fallen.
We are envious that otrher people have better lines than we do.
Yes, God in his sovergin choice has made some people stewards oif greather wealth than others, but it is not the amount of that makes a person a good sweward, it is the faithfulness to what God has given you.
4: A Good Hope
Jesus came to give us life.
Abundant life is life that does not come to an end.
