Introduction
If there is something that needs to be done, but you don’t see the reason why, You aren’t going to do it.
Think about Math in High School.
If you understood why you were more likely to try. if you didn’t you might get it done because you had to, but it was a chore and you probably don’t remember it very well.
Luke 15:1-10
Witnessing about the Gospel is part of the Joy of Being in Christ, but often we don’t tell a soul.
A LifeWay study showed 61% of evangelical Christians had not told a soul about Christ in the previous six months.
The Good news is that the younger Millennial generation shows a hirer rate of witnessing than older believers (Reid, Sharing Jesus 9)
I stated earlier that I think the primary reason we don’t witness is because we don’t discipline ourselves in Soul winning.
We claim things like I don’t how, or fear, but this attitude just gives us excuses to not share the Gospel.
If we correct our motivation to witness then our attitude becomes such that we Get to Witness not that we have to Witness.
It is an Opportunity.
MCCHURCH
(by Vernon C. Lyons)
We live in in culture of convenience Christianity.
We want it short, simple, fast and cheap.
The McBible does not have the tedious 66 books, but just a few with short sentences and simple words at the fifth grade level.
There are numerous pictures and some pages ruled with lines so that you can add your own spiritual thoughts, just in case you get a new revelation.
The McWorship service is all sweetness and love with nothing offensive.
The McSermon is easily digested with a minimum of nutrition and a maximum of fat.
And where Witnessing is the drive through
But this is not how it should be.
For any of it.
The Bible is 66 Book of Jewish Meditation Lit.
Sermons sometimes do have to be digested.
Worship is about your very life not just singing in the Pew. and Witnessing isn’t about a quick take out.
God is in us
It’s night of the living dead out there and we have the cure
I have already said that you are called to Go, but more than that you Get to Go
Why because We love
as we love We will be drawn to tell others of Jesus Christ
“If Sinners Be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies.
And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay.
If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
C.H. Spurgeon
If Hell is real.
They we would really hate someone to wish them to hell, By Word or silence.
We Love Because we first Loved.
We Care because we have seen Mercy.
