II. The Devout (Luke 22:2)

• Chief priests, scribes, religious leaders, Sanhedrem, Saducees, Religious Establishment planning Jesus death and removal
• Caiphas & Saducees - Jesus attacked the Politcal and Economical
• Religious Establishment - Jesus attacked the Theological
• The Meeting - John 11:47-53, Matthew 26:4,

III. The Devil(Luke 22:3)

• Judas could not longer resist Satan, becuase Judas had ideas from Satan (John 13:2)
• The possessed Judas (Luke 22:3, John 13:27)
• How do you reconicle that Satan wanted to stop the death of Christ and get Christ killed through the betrayal by Judas (Matthew 16:23)
• 1 Possibility - Satan hoped the people would stop the crucifixion
• 1 Possibility - Take down Judas,
• Remember Satan is God's devil therefore under the restrictions of God (Luke 22:31, Job 1-2)

IV. The Defector (Luke 22:3-6)

• Judas was an unbeliver, greedy, who betrayed Christ
• Psalm 41:9 - Predicted Jesus would be betrayed (John 13:8)
• The sin of Judas has one evil, like Adam, both walked with God, truth of God, both violated
• The religious leaders were glad! (Matthew 26:15ff)
