Introduction

God formed man breathed the breath of life in him, placed him in the Garden gave him the freedom to eat from all the trees including the tree of life, but commanded him not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and Evil, because if he eat from it he would surly die.

Body

When man disobeyed, God said the man has become one of us knowing good and evil, and if he eats from the Tree of life he would live forever in that fallen state of grace. So God for humanities protection so that man is not cut off forever, put them out of the garden. Man has acquired great wisdom and knowledge from God and has done many great things for humanity through the sciences, but when man decided to become the judge of what is good and evil for himself rather than listing to God, death and evil both physically and spiritually entered in and has been passed down to us. Just look at how society now distorts and perverts what God says is good in true love, marriage, family, and how sociability accepts the evil of abortion as freedom and good. “Hear politicians talk about a baby girl being delivered and keep comfortable then have a conversation with the doctors and the mother” Horrifying!!

Conclusion

In the Gospel Jesus names the evil that come out from the human heart from these distortions and perversions of what is good and what is evil. The good news is that now because of Jesus redemptive work on the Cross, God let’s us back into the garden, we can have a Garden experience before the fall every time we come to Mass, God forgives our sins, feeds us the bread of life from the tree of life, and makes us eternally one with God. So that strengthened by God we will always know and do good and stand against what is evil.
