To Believe

Believing God Keeps You From Having A Doubtful Heart

Martin Luther once said, “Miracles take place not because they are performed but because they are believed.” Simon Lake believed in the possibilities of a submarine long before it was perfected. The Wright brothers believed in air transportation years before their daring flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
Likewise,
This a discipleship saying, a statement of Jesus describing the behavior expected of those who would be his disciples. Christian conduct!
Let me share with you two truths that you can take away from this text today.

Believing God Helps You Overcome the Impossible

Here the writer uses a the word mountain a metaphor of Jewish literature that meant doing what seems impossible.
To overcome the impossible.
You have to put all your trust and reliance in God.
No gimmicks like those in the temple.
To overcome the impossible you cannot doubt.
You can’t pause or hold back in uncertainty or unwillingness.
You can’t get bogged down in making judgment on the basis of careful and detailed facts.
Some people waste time will trying to get all the information first. Sometimes you simply have to believe and trust God.
When you trust God without doubt. You don’t have to do it by yourself.
The text says it will be done for you.
God will give you what you need to overcome.
You should trust God to remove whatever hinders you from bearing fruit for Him.
Those who believe in God can have confidence that He will help them overcome the impossible.

Believing God Leads to Believing Prayer

God wants to bless you with good things when you ask Him.
He is more than capable to do more than we could ever ask.
Believe- to have a strong confidence or reliance upon someone or something. To have complete trust and reliance.
But what are your real motives when you pray?
This does not suggest that everytime we ask God for something He will do it.
He may not give you physical healing.
He may not give you that job.
He may not make you rich.
He may not give that husband or wife.
Whatever you ask for you have to be
Asked with the right motive.
It has to be according to God’s will.
If this is the case and you trust him, you will receive it.
It will be yours!
What do you want God to do for you?
What do you have in your life that you want God to move?
Whats hindering you from doing God’s will?
He’s here to help you if you beleive.
That problem that I had
I just couldn't seem to solve
I tried and I tried
But I kept gettin' deeper involved
So I turned it over to Jesus
And I stopped worryin' about it
Turned it over to the Lord (He worked it out)
Jesus (Jesus can work it out)
If you let him (Jesus can work it out)
I said Jesus (Jesus can work it out)
Jesus (Jesus can work it out) That pain that would not move Had me prayin' in the upper room (upper room) That burning that I bore (I bore) Just wonderin' how much more (Much more) I turned it over to Jesus (Jesus) And I stopped worryin' about it (Bout it) Turned it over to the Lord He worked it out (Oh yeah) (Oh!)
