“Can you provide me with three copies of the new translation of the New Testament?” requested a Christian in an Asian country.
“The edition is almost sold out,” replied his friend. “Why do you need three copies?”
“One to use now, one for my family and one to bury for future use.”
So it was with a recent publication of a first translation of the New Testamnt in a country where occasional campaigns by local police result in the confiscation of all literature published in “unofficial” languages. Enough copies had been printed to last two years but after only three months no more copies were available – except one for future use by the man who had a buried treasure.
