Samson

  1. He broke the rules- unequal yoke. When God says no he is not being difficult, he’s being protective
  2. He lived by his impulses- hr thought he was in love when he only was in heat- “she pleases me well” Judges 14:3
  3. He misused his gift-samson exploited his God given strength for personal gain-“then shall ye give me” Judges 14:13. God gives us gifts to fulfil his purposes not ours. When we misuse them we end up in trouble
  4. He was blind to his weaknesses- Satan attacked Jesus three times in the wilderness, he is not going to give you a free pass. Protect yourself.Satan always attacks those in line for Gods blessing. Why does god make such a big deal of this? Because sin hurts and anything that hurts one of his own children makes him angry
