Would You Disrespect God, in His House?
Before I began this sermon this morning.
I’m going to ask you some questions.
1 Thessalo
Please feel free to state your answers.
1 Timothy 3:14-
Do you love God?
Do you love His Son the Lord Jesus Christ?
Do you love Friendship Baptist Church?
Do you love and believe the Bible?
Do you love your Pastor?
Do you have respect for God, Jesus Christ, the Church, your Pastor?
Would you intentionally disrespect God?
Would you intentionally disrespect His Son the Lord Jesus Christ?
Would you intentionally disrespect the Members of, or Friendship Baptist Church?
Would you intentionally disrespect the Bible, God’s Holy Word?
Would you intentionally disrespect your Pastor?
How many of you have any ideal where i’m going with this?
1 Timothy 3:14
Why do you come to Church?
I have been preaching on subjects over the weeks on: How to keep from being a stumbling block to others, the importance of keeping your testimony, the importance of church growth and church attendance.
This morning I want to talk about “How To Behave In The House Of God!”
1 Timothy
I. WE ARE EXPECT OUR CHILDREN TO BEHAVE.
Somethings we consider bad behavior:
When they don’t mind,
When they don’t listen,
When they sass us,
When they fight with their brother and sister,
When they say hurtful words,
When they play hooky from school,
When they don’t eat,
When they complain all the time,
When they stick gum or boogers under the furniture,
When they try to tell their parents or grandparents what to do,
When they get caught writing notes in church or school,
When they rebel at Walmart.
II.
MOST GROWN BAPTIST ACT LIKE CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE OF GOD.
YOU SAY, “WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT PREACHER?”
It’s simple!
Some church members;
Don’t mind,
Don’t listen,
Say hurtful words to each other,
Play hooky from Church,
Won’t eat, (The Word of God),
They complain,
Try to tell the pastor what to do, what to preach,
Write notes or play on their cell phone or other electronic device, while God’s man is preaching,
When you are writing and passing notes.
Playing with your cell phones, or other devices.
Your are being disruptive,
Your are being distractive,
Your being disrespectful to God,
Your being disrespectful to His Son
Your being disrespectful to this church,
You are being disrespectful to the Pastor preaching God’s message.
You are being disrespectful to the people in attendance.
That makes you a stumbling block according to the Bible.
You are not worshiping God, if your playing on your phone.
Ezekiel 3:18-
They Rebel at church.
The same same things we would have whipped our children for, are the same things Church members do.
III.
SOME THINGS YOU OUGHT TO LEAVE HOME.
Leave your bad temper,
Leave your bad attitude,
Leave the chips on your shoulders home,
Leave your cell phones and electrical devices at home,
If you can’t leave your cell phones and devices at home,
Turn them off,
Silence them, and put them up until after services.
The only book you need your face in is this book, the Bible.
If your expecting an emergency phone call is one thing, If not let it go to voice mail and call who ever after services.
Remember this is God’s Time, not your time.
IV.
SOMETHINGS YOU SHOULD BRING WITH YOU.
Bring your children,
Bring your Bibles,
Bring your tithe, and offerings,
Bring your sweet spirit,
Bring a thankful heart,
Bring a prayed up heart,
Bring a expected heart,
Bring a forgiving heart,
Bring a happy attitude.
Hey, if your saved, your on your way to heaven
You are heaven bound with the hammer down.
So, why would you want to come to church with a bad attitude.
heaven bound with the hammer down.
V. LESSONS ON HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE HOUSE OF GOD.

SHAKE HANDS,

DON’T BE A DISTRACTION.
