Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as you would Christ.

It is possible for teachers to educate children, for doctors to treat patients and nurses to care for them, for shop assistants to serve. customers, accountants to audit books and secretaries to type letters as if in each case they were serving Jesus Christ.”- John Stott
Don’t work only while being watched, as people-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will from your heart.
Serve with a good attitude, as to the Lord and not to people,
“The Christian employee is to be diligent. He is not to call in sick when he is healthy. He is not to waste his boss’s time in idle conversation or conduct personal business when he should be working. He is not to drag his feet, pad his break times, arrive late, leave early or demand that two people do a job he could do alone. Those are the world’s ways, not the Christians.” - John Phillips

knowing that whatever good each one does, slave or free, he will receive this back from the Lord.
And masters, treat your slaves the same way, without threatening them, because you know that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.
