Very much young people you did an excellent job singing you can head back to sit with your moms and dads. Very good. We're going to be opening our Bible study book of Jobe tonight. and to the Book of Job

I appreciate the opportunity to speak and when I have been able to speak or the last in a while. We were in the Book of Genesis for quite a while and still enjoy thinking through that series myself, but then moving into the book of Jobe. It really does Bill jove is one of the earliest books written in our Bible up and if you've been following along with our church Bible reading schedule, you will have red Jobe not that long ago and we look at creation or into the life of Joe. We really do see that God's desire has always been a relationship with his creation that is always been the purpose of God's plan within a within his creation within our being here is relationship. He wants to converse with us. His desire is to be with us, but read this verse with me Romans 5:12. It'll be up on the screen there says wherefore as by one man, sin entered into the world. And death by sin and so death passed upon all men for the tallest and we broke the relationship. It wasn't God you did that. It was us we broke the relationship the very first person created separated his own race so far from God that that he could never recover it in mankind could never recover that relationship. So God was given the opportunity. It might not seem like an opportunity but to us it was to us we can see it as God's choice God's opportunity to reveal himself to us. And that's what we see in this next passage in one that's familiar to you John 3:16 and 17. It says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. It was really God's opportunity to show us his love. He had done that already. He had shown us his love in creating us and in creating a garden and then placing Man In The Garden in this perfect place. Had shown it, but then God was really given an opportunity. It was going to be one that would cost but it was an opportunity for him to show us that he loved us in spite of us. And so he sent his only son and this next passage is one that really helps us to gather that there is so much more for us. He says this in the Ephesians 2:4 through 10, but God who is rich in Mercy for his great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins have quickened us together with Christ by Grace you are saved and hath raised us up together and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ. Jesus that in the ages to come. He might show the exceeding Riches of his grace. In his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus for by grace. Are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God. Not of Works lest any man should boast for we are his workmanship created in Christ. Jesus unto good works which God have before ordained that we should walk in them with taking the time right now to look into these passages because I think that when you get into the life of Joe been especially in to those first two chapters, you can start to ask yourself some questions as to what really is God's motive what really is God's desire towards mankind because when you look at the life of Jobe, you see some things happen to a man and they can it can really cause you to doubt what you have believed. And so I think it's important that we see the clear evidence in Scripture. That is just overflowing with the obvious. Love of God. The evidence that the spoken word that his desire is Holy to show his kindness for all eternity that he was willing to go so far as to when we have turned our backs on him. God himself said I will take this opportunity to show you and I will give my life for you. So his opportunity he took and he wanted to show us his love and yet we look at the book of Jobe and if you're familiar with chapters one and two which we did look at just a few weeks ago you recognize how much Joe was about to go through seeing the things that Joe blocker when he lost all of his possessions and then he lost all of his children and then he lost his health all in a matter of 2 days at Jobe lost all of those things and we look at the way that he lost those things and we have to ask I really think we are naturally going to ask questions. How could God do that to Joe? If God really is a loving God, how could you do that? Why would God make such bad things happen to such a good man. It is a question that is going to come up. I could never handle that. I couldn't handle it. I sure hope God doesn't do that to me fear. These are natural responses to looking at this story of jove and seeing what happened to him job himself was a worrier and he worried about these things happening and he couldn't stop them from happening. They still happen. Naturally when we see things like that we can worry we can doubt. Even when we get to the end of the book of Jobe when things had been right in if you will or when God had come along and helped job through these things. We see this verse at the end of in chapter 42. It says this says that this family came around and it said they bemoaned him and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him. That's a different type of verse we don't focus on that very often do we normally are focusing on the John 3:16 type verses in Ephesians chapter 2 verses 8 through 10 type vs. And yet and this one we see they came and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord has brought upon him still the questions arise. How can we trust in God that brought so much evil upon a man when that very God look at that. Very man and said, he's my servant one. That fear is God an issue with evil. He's a perfect man. What is the incentive due to believing in and living for this God who would do something like this who treats his greatest followers in this way. How can I replace my unwavering faith for all of eternity? On someone who would treat his people like this on this Earth. These are questions natural questions that I believe people ask and I have to say that I look at these this passage and when I look at it I start to say what what is the purpose God? What really are you being doing? See? I do have enough faith in God to know that God does have a purpose. I'm thankful for his Saving Grace and his saving faith that he is putting me. But sometimes you still wonder Lord. What is it that your intent is and with into our hearts can work some doubts. As we saw a few weeks back Satan presented himself before the Lord in the Lord brought up job's name. The Lord was really bragging on Jobe to Satan. Well, the Bible says that man was made a little lower than the angels and Satan is a fallen angel and you hear kind of God and I as I hear his words, I I kind of see a smirk on his face. Yeah, this this guy he was made a little lower than you Satan. Have you considered him? You know what I can created you to do. He's actually doing it even though he wasn't as well-equipped as you I kind of hear the Lord throwing it at Satan a little bit. Remember how I created him last thing you well, look at it. Look at him like he's doing what you didn't do. See that's the type of a life that Jobe lived Jobe lived a life. That was so pure before God that God who can see every instance every bit of his life. He looked at him. He said he's a mature man. He is a Christian who would truly live for me or a Believer or someone who recognizes me. When we consider the testimony of Joe been consider the way that God looked at him in the way that Satan looked at and let's just think a couple things number one the Lord looked at Joe and he he had honest opinions and honest thoughts of him. He said now considered my servant job that there is none like him in the earth a perfect and upright man when the fear is God an issue with evil see job had truly earned this testimony, Joe mid lived a life on purpose so that God would see these things and the Lord looked at him and saw them exactly as they were and represented him exactly as he was. You've heard stories or I have heard stories of people and maybe you've even experienced this where you work in a workplace and you come up with ideas for the company and you present them maybe to your supervisor and then your supervisor takes them to upper management and takes credit for them. They may misrepresent. They take something that is not theirs. Maybe you have worked very hard and you have learned what would be some bonuses and yet your employer finds a way to shuffle those aside. So it doesn't cost any more see the Lord looks at Joe Ben sees how he has done and lived his life and he gives him an honest evaluation. The true testimony that Joe had is exactly what the Lord saw. He he he gave him an honest and honest answer it honestly thought store job, but then he was also helpful towards Jobe. He said Satan made this observation. He said ask not thou maidenhead you about him and about his house in about all that he half on every side that has bless the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land. So God's thoughts towards Joe were honest. Yes, but then they were all so helpful. His desire was to help this man Satan looked at you and said there is a hedge about him everything that Joe does seems to be touched by God. It's like when Joe does something it's almost as if God is doing that thing because you put a hedge about him you bless the work of his hands his house his family. They're just there's something about it and has the blessing of God why because God has put a hedge about this man God's desire was to help this man who live for him. That was God's plan. That was God's desire. No jobs life is turned upside down by verse 14 and chapter one. We have already seen in the first 13 verses that God's thoughts toward Jobe. We're both honest and helpful. His thoughts were good towards him. No, Satan's thoughts. The devil's thoughts were somewhat different As we judge the words of the devil here? We see something like this. Satan says stuff joke fear God for not you'll be seeing or dating. Excuse me to seeing the exact same thing that God is seeing and yet Satanist when God said, he's a perfect man when the issue with evil and and fears me and lives uprightly Satan's he's all that he says, there's ulterior motives. Satan looks and he begins to degrade he begins to pull down the reputation that job has built Satan. Is that boss who downplays the real accomplishments of his employees. He degrades he tears apart. That is what he does Satan looks at. Jobin says up his motives are awful. You sure you got your right. He did those good things. His motives are bad seen the motives. Already knew the motives that were true. But Satan is trying to put a a seed of Doubt within God that's never going to happen to Lord knows exactly what's going on, but not as Satan's thoughts towards Joe they're degrading but then they're destructive. He says but put forth thine hand now and touch all the tea half and he will curse thee to thy face. Satan says, you know what? Yeah, he's good. But I just want to prove to use it at that his motives are bad. So God, why don't you touch him? Why don't you put forth your hand and touch Jobe and take all the D Hathaway from he's going to curse you to your face. We saw that God had blessed Joe but Satan's plan was far from it Satan wanted to take absolutely everything that God had given to job away from him. God's thoughts twerk thoughts were honest and helpful Satan's thoughts were degrading and destructive when we look at this passage questions might arise, but I think we have to be careful to look at it very thoroughly and understand that it was the devil's desire to do wrong to Joe.

Now if we were to look at chapter 1 verse 11, you'll see this and you might have it there open but put forth thine hand now Satan is talking to the Lord and touch all the tea half and he will curse thee to thy face. Satan says God put forth your hand and touch him in verse 11. And then if you look over to chapter 2 and verse 5, he says it again he says to God but put forth thine hands now and touch his bone in his flesh and he will curse the that I faced Satan tried on two separate occasions to move God to literally put his hand out on job and to hurt Joe Satan made no mistake. It wasn't an accident that he was saying. I want you to hurt him. I want you to literally reach down and hurt Jobe but in both occasions the Lord does not do it. The Lord would not put forth his hand and her job. It was not Then God's makeup to reach down and hurt his servant. It was not his desire. Now. It would be an accurate for us to say that God was not involved in this whole situation. Of course, he was obviously the Lord knew full. Well when he brought up job's name to Satan what Satan was going to say what Satan was going to request he knew full. Well that Satan would say well do this and that he was going to say All right. I'm going to give you a chance. I'm going to let you try he knew this would be an excruciating Lee painful process for Jobe. But he also knew what the end would be. When the Lord did this he knew exactly what was going to transpire he knew what was going to come in the end. Yes. God did give Satan the authority to do certain things the job not everything you see that in both instances, but he didn't give them Authority do some things but God would never raise a hand against job. I find it interesting that when the Lord puts job into Satan's hand and you can see that in over six of chapter 2 in the Lord said unto Satan behold. He is in thine hand but save his life. I find it interesting that we have a new testament passage that reminds us that we are in the hand of God and that he never will let us go and that if you received can you have protection forever in his hand and that's a beautiful and a wonderful truth that we can hang onto but Satan has been given in this passage. The ability to attack joke. The Bible says this about Satan and 1st Peter chapter 5 8 be sober to us. He's telling us to be sober be vigilant for your adversary. The devil is Aurora is as a roaring lion walking about seeking whom he may devour. When a Christian is in Satan's hand, what is Satan's goal? The goal is to devour. It is to totally obliterate. It is to fully consumed that is Satan's plan for mankind. His desire is to ruin the relationship between the Lord and his creation just as Satan ruined his own relationship between himself and his creator now as we look into this passage, what we are going to look at is we are going to be looking at some of the things that Satan uses to try and separate us from our creator so that he can devour us when we were at wintercamp over the last 2 weeks on in both weeks from two separate speakers. There was a message on Satan that's interesting that doesn't happen. All the time. Does Satan is very real person and we can't neglect him. But often we don't hear warnings about him. We focus our attention on the Lord greater is he who is in us than he that is in the world? But Satan is real in a tent at winter camp. We heard two separate messages on him one at each winter camping and one of the the preachers brought this idea before I sent that verse in 1st Peter 5:8 when it says Is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour that word may is is a term used to allow. It's like when the kid is in school and he says teacher can I go to the bathroom in the teacher says can you go to the bathroom and the teacher's role of the kids roll their eyes. May I go to the bathroom? Am I allowed to go to the bathroom in the teacher says? Yes, you may but since you can don't do it here in okay, go somewhere else and do it, please. It's this idea idea of May. Will you allow him the Bible says that he is seeking whom he would be able to devour his seeking that one that he is able to get to that he is able to consume. When we are not careful, we are making it easy for the devil to consume us when we do not have our eyes upon the Lord when we are not submitting ourselves to the Lord. Then we are not resisting the devil the Bible says if we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us, but if we're not looking and submitting we cannot resist and what is he able to do devour us we let him We don't do what we need you to protect ourselves from the devil. And so tonight. We are going to be looking at this idea and scriptures. There's just a few points here. What is he doing to Joe? And what is he using to try and take his gaze from his creator and take his submission from his God so that he can devour him. That's the question. The first thing that we see is we see that he uses Wicked people use his Wicked people. There are two instances here in this passage that he in chapter 1 verses 14 and 15 and chapter 1 verse 17 where the Bible says that the sabeans came and they took all his oxen and his asses and killed the servants that we're watching them. And then we see that the Chaldeans came and they took his camels and they killed the servants that were watching them that the sabeans were a marauding people there were people who went around they travel didn't live in one location and their whole life the idea that they had was we will get gain off of other people's work. So they would go and steal from other people in that was there. That was their main form of increase. They're not really that great of people. They just steal for a living. I saw to buy us running around here with his balaclava this evening before Mom stole it from him. I think and Tobias look like a little robber trying to steal from everyone. You don't hide your face unless you're a little truck right to buy ice. You're not you're not a crook. Don't worry. That's the idea of the sabeans that they ran around just stealing from other people getting gain from whoever they could get gain from but then there were the Chaldeans hear this passage from habakkuk chapter 1 verses 6 through 9. The Lord says this furlough, I raise up the Chaldeans that bitter and Hasty nation which shall March through the breadth of the land to possess The Dwelling Places that are not theirs they are terrible and Dreadful their judgment in their dignity shall proceed of themselves. Their horses also are swifter than the leopards and her more fierce in the evening wolves and their Horsemen shall spread themselves and their Michelle come from afar they shall fly as the eagle that he's safe to eat. They shall come all for violence their faces shall sup up as the East Wind and they Shall Gather the Captivity as this and he said that their purpose they are strong there a force to be reckoned with and they are here for violence. That is the Chaldeans. So these two groups of people came to job and they took from Jobe. What was his they steal they destroy his servants and they steal what he had what he had earned see Satan will happily use Wicked people to oppress those who want to live for the Lord in reality. Satan is going to use Wicked people to impress anyone. You don't have to be a Christian to be oppressed by Satan sings desire is to devour everyone. It is not just that we are the only targets thankfully because we know the Lord we are in God's hand and we can look to him and submit and resist the people who don't know the Lord have no opportunity to do that. The devil is coming for them to Satan will use Wicked people they are going to come they are going to attack. Obviously not every unsaved person is deeply rooted in some socially harmful wickedness. That's not what everyone is but there are people who truly care about no one else but themselves they aimed their attacks at other people for their own personal gain, sometimes it's simple not very personal credit card scammers car thieves burglars day. They're just they're in it to get some sort of game. They're not good people. They're not trying to hurt you for say but they're going to take from you because it's best for them. But sometimes it's more vile like human traffickers, like rapist like murderers. There are people who are wicked who are truly out to just hurt other people. These kind of things happen to everyone just because you're a Christian doesn't mean that you could not be attacked by someone or stolen from it happens to everyone. I still remember it in May of 2013 and we are living in Hamilton. Hearing on the news one day about a man by the name of Tim bosma who had gone missing many of you might remember the story. Tim was known as a local Christian Church going dad. Who'd been trying to sell his Dodge pickup truck on Kijiji the night. He disappeared. He was supposed to meet to gentleman in the eat in the early evening, but they showed up incredibly late to his rural home and they showed up on foot which was very strange and unsettling to them, but he wanted to get rid of the truck. And so he took them for a test drive that night those two men named Dylan dellen Millard and Mark smich killed Tim. They shot him in the car. And incinerated is Remains. The reason for the murder steals pickup truck. That was it. The Fifth Estate did a documentary on this true story. This is so interesting their doctor documentary was actually entitled the murder of Tim bosma the devil had a name and you know what that's what it is the Lord desired of the Lord Satan the devil desires to use Wicked people to attack others. That is his go up to Devout we look at him and we think of him and sometimes as Christians it's good we believe greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world that we have all power against him because of the Lord and no we're not searching for a fight with him, but we have to understand he is very active and very involved and when we look at the life of Jobe it is so evident Satan's plan is to wander the Earth seeking whom he may devour he's going to use somebody to hurt someone and if your eyes are not on the Lord, you're not ready for it. So he used Wicked people. He also use unpreventable circumstances. unpreventable circumstances We seeing verse 16 the Bible says that the fire of God fell from heaven on the sheep is expected. That's lightning most likely maybe not but most likely it is a lightning. And then a great wind from the Wilderness came and it and it knocked the house down upon his kids a tornado or hurricane. Some sort of wind came sometimes in life we go through trials of our own making but often difficulties come that we could never have prevented things happen that no matter how good of a person you are no matter how devout to the Lord you are. You just can't change it. You can't help it. You can't prepare against it these things are going to happen. They come suddenly they catch us off-guard. And there's nothing we could do to 4C them, but we can't lay unexpected trial claim our attention from God claim our submission from him. Start of our control some people worried about how these things could come. Doesn't help that's what Joe did some people look back on these circumstances and wonder what should I have done differently in that situation? Well, there is no answer. You cannot answer those questions. A car accident that claimed a family member a company buy out the results in your employment termination a storm that causes you to miss your connecting flight. These are all things you can't prevent but you have to continue to live by faith through them when the difficult things come you must be ready and looking to the Lord don't let them Sidetrack where you're going. The third thing is health and well now this one probably requires no explanation. I don't think any examples are needed Jobe lost everything you own in one day and his health in another we all know multiple stories of people who have lost their homes. They've lost their wealth. They lost their jobs, or maybe they've lost their health. They have gotten sick. They have come down with the disease something has Oppress them maybe you've lost one. Maybe you've lost both. This is a tactic of the devil to prepare people to be devoured to distract them from where they are going now in North America, we take our common health in general. We are a healthy continent healthy country. And can we take our general wealth for granted? We take it in and look at it as if it's something that is deserved. It is something that is owed. And yet so many people don't have what we have but went when one of those things disappears, it is many people's natural tendency to say, why would God let this happen? Why would God do this to me is to blame God. But that is exactly what the devil wants. He is seeking whom he may devour he wants us to look and say God did that that's what he wanted joke to do. That was the exact reason. He did all of this. He said God put forth your hand. And what will Joe do I will make Jobe curse you to your face. He said I want you to to I want Joe to look at you and say this is all your fault. And yet it was all Satan's idea. I can't help but think of Tim and Michelle tudhope when I consider this when you see the pictures of Tim on Facebook in his hospital bed with tubes all all over him and Michelle sitting there and praying for him. I can't help but think of them and think of the trial that they are going through and I get on Facebook every day or even multiple times a day to see if there's another update because yes, we want to pray for him. But it's also encouraging every time I look and I see your face and I hear of the answered prayers in the people who are hearing the gospel or the tracks that are being read within the hospital. It's encouraging because through the midst of this difficulty. They haven't lost their faith. They haven't looked the other way in the midst of the health that is going sideways on Tim that is what the devil is trying to do, but they're saying no we're going to look to him. What are the outcome that will come with Tim's cancer fight. We don't know the outcome. We can know that if Tim and Michelle looking face to God through this that God can receive the glory. We do know that God can do great things. But the devil is trying to decide to Sidetrack us. Another thing that is probably the most obvious thing in because of the extent of it in the book of Jobe is Job's supposed friends that I kind of think that when Satan saw these three guys coming to talk to Jobe. I kind of think that Satan might have almost taken a step back and just said, all right. This isn't one that I planned. They're going to do my job for me. We don't ever see Satan talk to God about bringing in other people to attack job. And yet for some reason these supposed friends these people who knew joke these people who knew who he was with seeing how we lived they show up and their goal is not to help Jobe. They show a bit of that when they show up They Mourn with him for some time, but then they begin on a tirade of attack against Joe. They literally took 29 chapters of bantering back and forth with Joe Buck using him of sin, even though there was no evidence of it trying to pass their judgment upon him as if they were God even though they had no wisdom from on high. When we get to the final two chapters of the book God rebukes them for their ignorant ignorant and arrogant speaking of of words without knowledge. But what's interesting is that though job had lost his possessions his servants his health his family job. Never cursed God. He held sinless in his mouth, but when his friends came and talked with him, they changed his Outlook. You know Satan came with all of these other things and tried to get job to curse God and die and then these three regular people showed up and they are the ones who change jobs outlook on his situation. The power that we have is people is astounding the influence that God has given you to use for him or that we can use against him very powerful these three men showed up and they derailed jobst thoughts no job never came to the place of cursing God that was never what job came to but you go Joe did come to doubt. When we think of we think of the situation that Joe was in. The oft given reason why people would say I'm not going to go to church and I even heard in the last two weeks. I don't go to church. I don't like church. I don't like religion because people are hypocrites and they're right there Hypocrites everywhere. They're Hypocrites in church. It's unfortunate. We should not live that life. But there is power in the life that we live. It's even worse when people claim who claimed to be friends flee during difficult times people who give horrible advice that doesn't come from scripture. We must understand that these also are tools that the devil is happy to benefit from in his search to devour people. No job had these three friends. They they did nothing good and we can learn from them. We understand that we need to have biblical counsel when we speak with others that we need not to abandon people that we know when they're going through a difficult time but something else that's interesting in the book and we won't go there for sake of time. But in the in the Book of Job chapter 19 verses 13 through 19. The Bible says job is speaking and he talks about how his relatives had left him. He talks about how not just his relatives, but his close friends had abandoned him. See we focus. So often on these three people who came because they showed up but what about the people who never showed up the people in the midst of Jobe losing his children and they never came to comfort the people in the mist of Joe being basically in the hospital room and never showing up to visit him in the hospital. Joven chapter 19 verses 13 through 19. We see that everyone close to jove abandoned him in the midst of his pain. He talks about his kinfolks his his kinsfolk his siblings his relatives that grew up with him. They wouldn't talk to him his wife. We already know became distant the servant that is still remaining those few who didn't die or earlier that are still remaining him. He had employed him. He had helped they were nowhere to be found. His best friends that he had had invited into his house and he had fellowship with them and probably spoke of the Lord with them. They were gone. We hear the saying that blood is thicker than water. But sometimes that complicates things even more siblings. I did not grow up with siblings, but it seems that sometimes siblings are the hardest on their siblings because they see the way they've grown up the same way and maybe they turned out a different way, but Job, lost everything and no one came to help him. Nobody. It's not just the three friends who showed up to hurt him. It's those who didn't how often are we guilty of neglect? Sounds going through a hard time and we don't show up. We don't ask. Well, I didn't ask because I didn't know what to say. You know, what at least job's three friends that were basically lousy jerks at least they showed up and sat there in silence for 7 days. I didn't necessarily have anything to say but they showed up. When people are going through a hard time time of loss or time of difficulty a struggle with sin and we abandon them. well We say I'm praying for them. Let slip the Lord have them. Yeah, but maybe we're also saying what's with the devil album? They're hurt their broken and he's going to see whom he may devour when we were at Camp. The example was given if he's a roaring lion. The example is given as have how a pride of lions will will stock pay a group of animals. And what will they look for? They will look for the old they will look for the sickly. They will look for the week. They will look for the stragglers or the careless and we look at someone who's hurt. They're straggler. They're they're misunderstood or they don't understand their they're making mistakes in life, and we don't help them. The devil's after them to we have the opportunity to come alongside. Satan has many ways to trick us into becoming easy prey don't let others whether family friend or Foe be used to distract you but also don't be the one who lets someone else get devoured when you could do something. When asked by The Fifth Estate about how her trial tested her faith the wife of Tim bosma answered very honestly, she said this I've never blamed God for bringing them those two men. I don't see that that was God's doing that was the devil's handiwork. He led them down the driveway. That wasn't God that did that. But my issue my issue has always come back. Excuse me, but my issue has always come back to he didn't stop it. And then that's where I'll be honest. I struggled because why? Why didn't he you know, why? Did it have to be Tim? These questions that she asked these questions that we ask when we look at the life of Joe Berwyn or when difficulties come there are natural questions. It's okay to ask those questions job did it?

But we have to be careful that we don't allow our site to be moved from God and placed on our problems to where we start saying not just asking questions, but we start making accusations.

In Jeremiah chapter 29 verses 10 through 14. The Lord was using a trial for the purpose of bringing his people back to him. This is what he said in Jeremiah 29:10 for thus saith the Lord that after 70 years be accomplished at Babylon. I will visit you and perform a good word towards you in causing you to return to this place notice this verse you've heard it before for I know the thoughts that I think toward you say if the Lord thoughts of peace and not to be able to give you an expected end then she'll you call upon me and you shall go and friend to me and I will hearken unto you and you shall seek me and find me when you shall search for me with your whole heart or with all your heart. Excuse me, and I will be found of you say at the Lord. And I will turn away your captivity. She in spite of the Lord's good thoughts toward Joe. We still see the job still goes through the difficult time. Our God doesn't desire to hurt us. But he does allow us to go through things that will bring us closer to him that will give a him a chance to show himself strong in the end when you get to the end of the passage. You never see Satan. The devil was in there in the beginning and he brought these things upon Joe but you never see him again. He doesn't show up. And you know, what's awesome is he doesn't get to come to the end of the book of Jobe and gloat because Joel at the very end still maintain to faith in God he questioned and he got to the point where he questioned in sin, but Jobe never turn holy on God and the devil doesn't show up in the book of Jobe anymore. But the Lord does the Lord was there in the beginning when the trial started and he let it happen. But the Lord didn't abandon. He didn't disappear like Satan did in the midst of failure when Satan did not accomplish what he wanted Satan left, but in the midst of job's somewhat failure the Lord stayed faithful. What do we see in Job chapter 40 to turn there? Job chapter 42

God didn't leave.

God stayed in verse verses 1 through 6 and really in in the in the previous two chapters. We see that God revealed himself to Jobe see in the midst of difficulty in the midst of trial in the midst of Satan coming in attacking us and trying to devour us if we will maintain our faith in the Lord. The Lord is going to show himself strong in some way Joe lost everything doesn't even matter that God's going to show himself strong. And yes, yes, it does the Lord showed back up the Lord revealed himself to Joe. We never know. When if Joe ever seen God before we think that he didn't because Jobe actually says I had heard of you, but now I see you with mine eyes. And then he talked about how he was so humbled because of how amazing his God was God revealed himself to job in the midst of these difficulty verse 10 of chapter 42. The Bible says that the Lord recognize the phrase turned again the Captivity of Jobe. It's the same thing that he promised to do to his people in the book of Jeremiah. He said I know that what you're going through has been a captivity it is been bonds for you. There was no way out for you and you know, what if you are in jail, you cannot get out jailbreak is made very difficult by people because we want to keep prisoners in jail. You cannot get out of captivity on your own but God says I will break your captivity. The Lord turned again the Captivity of Jobe in verse 10. He also gave to job twice as much as if he had before if you look at the numbers you will see he had twice as many sheet for twice as many oxygen and and so on and then he had another 10 children. So Joe had 10 children now in heaven with God and he had 10 more on Earth. It would be in heaven with God again with him someday and verse 12 really just brings the the whole point home. It says that God bless the latter end of job more than his beginning is beginning was amazing, but his end was even greater. See we luck and we question and we see these things happening to jovon. We said God, how can you do that? If you're a good God, how can you let that happen? Why would you let that happen to such good people? Why is it that Tim tunnel could be sitting there in the hospital bed looking so destitute why God why could you do that? Why would you let that happen? He's got two young children still living at home. Why? And yet God will be there through the end. We don't know what the final result is, but God will be there. I will close with a verse that's familiar to you. All Romans 8:28 it says and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose have faith in him and do what you can support your Christian brothers and sisters. We are one here in this church to do things for God to be with him. Let's join together help one another and have faith in our god. Let's pray Father in heaven. We thank you for your word. We thank you for the example of job father at incredible. What a man went through and I'm sure that as we stand here Lord. We think I can't imagine having to go through that and I don't know if I could make it. But Lord you strengthens Jobe. And so Lord when we go through these difficult things Lord strengthen us help us Lord in Jesus name.
