A bishop died and went to heaven.  As he approached the pearly gates he saw a long line waiting.  He stood in line several hours and then sent an angel up to the gate to tell St. Peter that an important bishop had arrived.  Still nothing happened.  Finally the angel came back and said there would be more delay because there was a big special celebration to welcome Joseph T. Potts, the president of a bank,  The bishop bridled and demanded:

“What’s so special about him?  I’ve served the church far 40 years.  Why should I have to be delayed by him?”

‘Well, you see,” said the angel, “we get bishops up here every few weeks but this is the first bank president we’ve ever had.”
