Are you In or are you Out?

What is the question aslking? Are you in agreement, are you part of, are you going to join?
in - joined, in union with.
From a dfaith stand point you are either in Christ or you are without Christ - and thew difference is staggering.
What is there Out of Christ? What blessing are ours in Christ?
Ephesians 1:3 KJV 1900
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
“In Christ” as well as other forms of it like “in Him” or “in the son” are foundation to biblical doctrine.
“In christ appears over 70 times. “in him” over 120 times.
Every single one of God’s promises are only made to those who are “in Christ”.
2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV 1900
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
This truth is what Jesus went to great lemngths to explain in one of his most famous teachings.
John 15:5–8 KJV 1900
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Notice the words “in me”. - Jesus dsaid this multiple times.
John 6:56 KJV 1900
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
John 16:33 KJV 1900
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Can you see whsats going on? By our union with Christ through Faith we are new creatures, subject to new promises and serving a new master and we have a new destiny.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV 1900
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
So notice: All things only become new when you are in Christ.

You’re Out!

look at the difference between being “in Christ” and “without Christ”
Ephesians 2:12 KJV 1900
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Aline sfrom the common wealth. Strangers from the covenent. having no hope. without God.
Ephesians 2:13 KJV 1900
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
A person who is not “in Christ” has no claim to any promise in the bible.
Strength, grace, hope, peace, joy, patience, wisdom, life, provision. The bible has promises on each of these. And i know many people who share thrm on facebook. Ive got news for you - they are not your promises. God never made them to you.
God only made them to those who are abiding in him.

You’re In!

But when you are “in him” every promise becomes yours.
This is even true down to our election.
Ephesians 1:4 KJV 1900
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Notice that the bible does not say that He chose us befor the foundation of the world.
Bat rather that when we are “in him” we are part of that chosen. So many people cannot undedatnbd election. B ut it is very simple: Are you in christ? Then you are elect. A person cannot be elect, chosen, if they are not in him. and every clavanist head explodes.
But they believe that you can be elected outside of Christ. Which is totally contrary to every single scrupturte.
But when you are in Him, then once again i remind you:
2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV 1900
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
So makes the Goverment of one life very simple.
On one hand my “worthiness” is not a requirement or condition for any one of God’s precious promises. His promises are not based on worth but on position. If i am IN CHRIST then the promise is mine based soley on the Work of Christ.
It recognises that God’s dealing with us are not based on our own merrit but on the applied grace of Jesus.
On the other hand it makes self judgemnt much easier. Because i can examine any action, thought, habit or behavior and ask if that is something that i can do iIN CHRIST?
