The Bible is taking us somewhere, on a journey towards intimacy with the Father.
The journey begins with the law, with Torah.
Never forget that the Law is a good thing, a gift from God.
But it is only the beginning of the journey.
Psalm 1 represents this beginning; it is a /barocha/ to those who keep the law.
Job 1 also represents the beginning of the journey.
Job is a "psalm 1 guy."
But we are supposed to move on, on the path of what Paul refers to as the "New Way of the Spirit."
We are going somewhere with this walk with Jesus.
We are moving towards an undreamed of intimacy with the God who loves us so much He wants to be married to us.
