Intro.
There are two ordinances in the New Testament.
Baptism administered once represents Union.
Lords Supper As oft as you would Represents Communion
 
We Are so prone to forget.
There are some things that God wants us to remember and to be reminded of.
\\ I.                                                             Its Commemoration
 
Remembrance means to bring to mind.
1.
Bread and the Body
 
The unleaven bread pictures thew sinless life of Christ.
Jesus breaking that bread depict him laying his life down.
Wheat has to be grinded and beaten to make bread.
But he /was/ wounded for our transgressions, /he was/ bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace /was/ upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Bottle and the Blood
 For the life of the flesh /is/ in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it /is/ the blood /that/ maketh an atonement for the soul.

The seal of the New Testament was poured out at Calvary.
 
 (Hebrews 9:16-22 AV) For where a testament /is/, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Our Communion with Christ hinges upon our relationship with His Blood and His Body.
Both deal with Sin that is the enemy of our communion.

His Blood
The Blood is the Cleanses Sin
 
The Blood is the source of our *Fellowship.*
There is no fellowship without forgiveness.
You are not going to fellowship with sin in your life.
When you disassociate yourself with the blood you disassociate yourself with Christ.

His Body
 
The Body Crucifies Sin.
Is the Source of our Following.
(Galatians 2:20 AV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Have you ever lost your Identity.
Have you ever been hid in Christ.
Colossians 3:3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Romans 6:2  God forbid.
How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Colossians 3:4  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
This Ordinance reminds us of what was accomplished with his blood and through his Body.

Consubstaniation- The Wine and the Bread contain the Blood and Body of Christ.
Mis-communication - people just take it without a thought of what it means and what it represents.
