Text Acts 17:22-31

4574. sebasma sebasma seb’-as-mah; from 4573; something adored, i.e. an object of worship (god, altar, etc):—devotion, that is worshipped.

Websters- a state of being dedicated, consecrated, or solemnly set apart for a particular purpose.

When I passed by I beheld your devotions. I could see what you were devoted to by:

I.                    Altar vs. 23

It is a Place of:

1.                  Sacrifice

i.                    Sin

ii.                 Self

Rom 12:1-2

2.         Supplication

2.                  Spiritual

II.                 Affection

Do you love him????

Jesus ask that question to Peter because their was something that he wanted him to do. For him to do it he would have to love him.

Church at Ephesus left their first love.

III.               Attention vs. 27

When men can pay more attention to work and their hobbies but can’t find time to spend with God it is because they have no devotion.
