Good Morning, I hope all of your travels were a blessing and we are glad to have you back.
If you brought your bibles we will reading from Acts 16:6-10.
Form a prayer circle; pray for the sick, pray for healing, the church and the church body, pray for fast recovery and those hit by the tornado and give God the praise for the children at the daycare that were not hurt, and lastly thank Him for the rain.
Tell Joke:
A pastor was worried about his 15 yr old son.
So he wanted to find out what he was going to be when he grew up.
So the pastor decided to try a experiment, he went into his son’s room after he left for school and left 3 things on his table: 1.
A bible 2.A bottle of jack Daniels whiskey.
3.
A playboy magazine.
If my son picks up the bible he will be a preacher just like his dad.
If he drinks the whiskey he will be a drunkard.
And lastly if he picks up the playboy he will be a no good womanizer.
So the dad hid behind his sons door when he came home from school and watched.
The son walked in the room and saw all 3 items on the table and picked up the bible, the dad let out a big sign of relief “he’s going to be a preacher like me” he said.
Then the son took a drink of the whiskey and pick up the playboy and left.
I shock the dad said “oh my, he’s going to be a politician”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now after that sinks in it

Acts 16:6-10
6 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.
7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.
8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.
9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
As we read in v6 they were on a journey to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And as they reach certain towns or cites the Holy Spirit would not allow them to go in, So Paul goes into Troas to rest he has a vision of a man who says come to Macedonia and help us.
The following morning they pack up and left.
Today I want to show you 3 things in this scripture that really jumped out at me.
So if you’re ready here we go.
1.We are all called to come over and help: what does that mean?
When you think of mission work you probably think of going out of the country, over sea’s etc.
I listened to a preacher the other night talking about how he loves going to Africa, He said he was on a mission trip in Ghana.
He said that they did not have and offering plate they rolled out a barrel, as they did people would get up and dance their way to give a tithe or as offering.
He started to think as a Baptist he knew that we had rules on dancing
a.If you lift up 1 foot while you dance that’s ok but if you lift up 2 feet, well that means your Pentecostal and you got to go.
We all know that in 2 opinion 3:16  says thou shalt not lift up 2 feet while ye danceth.
But his point was he was in their country and that’s how they worshipped God.
mission work is for all, because the Gospel is meant for all people who worship the same God.
In Luke 24; 46-47
46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Jesus is telling to go into all the nations, but the only problem was that back then there was no nation \s the words nation meant people and or government.
So we must go to ALL the people and preach the gospel
See we believe that if you want to know Jesus then you must go to church, But church listen to me, there is a whole new generation of people that never heard of Jesus.
We find that hard to believe but it’s true.
We live in a world that is quite far from God.
I do not understand we do not mind going the extra mile at work, or giving 100% at sports but when it comes to doing the lords work, we can never find the time.
*Isaiah 6:8-9*
*8 **Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?
And who will go for us?” *
*And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” *
*9 **He said, “Go and tell this people: *

*Send me!!!!!! Send me!!!!! Takes total dependence on God.*
*God calls us to come over and help!!!!!!!!*

*2.
**Help: We are called to help the Rich, the poor and in-between*
*When we make that decision to follow Christ and walk the Isle in church, we are saved, but then what?*
*We start out on fire and tell our friends about what Christ did for us, but then we tend to forget after time all he did.
And He just doesn’t seem so important anymore.
Friends then in lies the problem is the people watch us to see what Christ is doing in our lives.
After a little while we loose the focus the God called all of us to preach the Gospel to all the nation everyday not just when you get saved but everyday.*
*     Every night when we go to bed we need to thank God for saving us and giving us another day.
But every morning when we wake up we need to ask God to save us again today, *
*1 Corinthians 15:31*
* 31 I die every day—I mean that, brothers—just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord.*
I noticed that God knows that we are not going out to His people, so He is bring them to us.
The US is the biggest melting pot in the world, and like I was told this past week we need to tell them about Jesus, get them saved and then send them home.
I’m asking you are you going out in your own neighborhood and talking to people about Christ.
Have you ever thought that your own street is a mission field?
We are all called to Help with the cause of Christ, all people, all nations.
3.Look at the word us: It’s not about us, IT’S ABOUT <US>
We find it to easy to make it about us.
We have our own culture, tradition, our own preference on church, religion etc.
You can preach on just about anything and nobody really notices but if you change the order of the service and you get fired, for instance, last Sunday I was going to call Terry up to sing and Mindy stopped me dead in my tracks and said we have to sing the doxology, and said with force so I let her do it.
*Acts 1:8*
*   8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
*

As I close, Look at that verse it says , “Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.”
1. Jerusalem: a city in the middle east, a local area, and the pure Jewish race
2. Judea: regional area---out side of your town
3. Samaria: outside the states, places you don’t want to go, the wrong ethnicity with the wrong background.
4. ends of the earth: every other inch of it.
Jesus gave the Great Commandment to the church, not to certain organization or groups but the church, His church.
To come over and Help means that we must go to them.
*Acts 1:8 says: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;*
The power to share His word is all you need.
-----Every time someone new walks through the church doors, you should be proud, God has brought someone for you to meet and to share your testimony with, to help you and them with your and their Christian walk.
That’s what we are called to do, to help our father with His work.
We are all family made and held together by the blood of Christ.
Are you doing what God called you to do?
Do you obey His word?
Do you fellowship?
Why?
If you can not answer this question, step out of the isle and talk with me.
If you looking for a church home, let this church love on ya for awhile.
You’ll know that God has called you here.
If you do not know Jesus  we can help with That to.
Whatever your situation is, let God take care of it.
So come today.
