A man moves to a new city to live.  He meets an old sage upon arrival and asks him, “Old man, are the people in this town friendly?”  The old man, wise for his age, says:  “How did you find the people in the town that you left?”  If the stranger replies, “Oh, I found them warm and friendly,” then the old man would reply, “You are in luck, friend, for you will find them warm and friendly here.”  But, if the stranger replies, “Oh, I found them hard and cold,” then the old man wise for his age, would reply, “I’m sorry, friend, for you will find them hard and cold here.”
